Historically, it was Blackpools "polo tower", when Blackpool got rid of it, it went to live at Morecambe.

Never visited it (probably because I’ve always lived in the South) but I’m gutted I never got to see the legendary polo tower. I don’t even really know how I knew it existed. Wasn’t it an observation tower which was left derelict for years? Sadly though, I could never convince my Mum to drive 375 miles from Cornwall to Morcambe. Very selfish of her really.

Yes it was an observation tower that was part of frontier land theme park, closed but left standing for years as it had mobile phone masts on top. Honestly can't blame your mum, I've done the tip from Morecambe to Cornwall a few times and it's only worth the drive one way 🤣

The first one doesn't exist. Whilst you can see it, you can't talk about it, and if anyone asks you about it, you have to deny its there. Ok, I know that its no longer classified but historically that was the case for the GPO Tower, until an MP confirmed its existence in Parliament. But I'm gonna go with that it still doesn't exist. Emly Moor Tower has a history of collapsing. Therefore my favourite can only be Blackpool! Blackpool for lyfe!

OXO Just because a few years back my father in law said for my mother in laws birthday he was taking her to London and he'd booked in taking her up the OXO tower. The sniggering and contained laughter around the room was a joy to watch.

My favourite tower in the UK, not including castles or cathedrals, is Blackpool tower. I've seen it from over 40 miles away at the top of Pendle hill on a nice clear day and its just as impressive as up close. Every time I drive into Blackpool and see the tower getting closer its still exciting to me, it's very striking and I find it visually appealing. I also like that as I see it today my great-great Grandfather would have seen it on wakes week just the same. I'm very fond of it.

Blackpool Tower as I've been up it and experienced the views it has to offer. Emley Moor would be my second choice, I went to uni in Huddersfield so I've looked at it a lot and it's fucking huge. Apparently on a clear day, an engineer at the top can see both the east and west coast of the UK mainland, impressive.

Love the Emley Moor transmission tower. It appears driving north on the M1 like some dystopian sci-fi vision looming on the horizon. Made a special detour to see it up close. Had to do it without the wife obviously because she thinks that makes me autistic. Probably am.
