I like them because they're practical. They keep the sun off my face and stop my ears/ back of my neck burning. They're a good alternative to caps, which only keep the sun off my face and don't protect my ears and neck. Caps also look stupid over the top of my curly hair, bucket hats don't look as stupid and don't give me a horrendous case of hat hair.
