There is no alternative to Reddit

There is no alternative to Reddit. I have tried looking for one because I hate the insane amount of bots and political manipulation going on in this side.
But the reality is that there is nothing like Reddit. Not a single site that looks like this one. This isn't like X (formerly Twitter) which does have exact replicas or very similar in design like Mastodon.

The real question is, is reddit really that good to begin with OR much like other social media, simply gathered enough crowd for it to matter and now its hard to move simply because its mass.
Forums were really really great. But the thing is, you look at most of them today, they don't even correctly fit your phone. These basic things make them so hard to enjoy.
But you had identity there. Communities that knew each other. People who knew what the fuck they are talking about. Inside jokes and all that.
I don't think reddit offers anything unique. The only thing it had going for it is the fact that its used to be good and because of that gathered a larger crowd. That crowd is the only thing it has going for it.

I feel a lot of people on Reddit are bots. Most of the subs are obviously run by bots who post the same generic nonsense all the time, and I can only think of a few where the post are human generated.
Both Reddit and X.com (formerly Twitter) have a huge bot problem and political propaganda and brainwashing.
I don't know a single one of my friends who post a lot of social media anymore, across all sites. Maybe Instagram is the most real active one I have noticed.

I will and am forcing human interactions. There will be no bots except one. He will be your fren. Either you participate or you don’t play the game. It’s that simple. People who participate will be rewarded people who don’t will be left behind the awesomeness I have created. Well mostly just a big ass stack of independent c++ files right now but you wait you will see.

I love hearing weakness. Pounce it says 🐈

Reddit has been dog shit for years at this point, so many obvious bots, I think a study came out about it like 10 years ago.

Every single social media website is infested with bots. They want it like that because they want to claim a growing user base even though that growing user base might be fake or mostly bots.
DeraxBlaze@reddit
Yep, you're right. The dead internet theory is happening and even a single fake interaction is a failure imo, with now bots talking to bots for bots to upvote and bots to downvote.

I win. 🥇 give me medal now. Upset I have to code 🧑🏻💻 myself this amazing game I have. It’s game! But not! It’s fun! You wait

You don’t want an alternative… I keep seeing this and people are like blah blah blah is close🧑🏻💻 do you really want another shitcan like Reddit to doomscroll? Gross. 🤮 you want something that changes your perspective of reality. Like you stepped into the matrix and were like where the fuck did I just land?
That’s what you want

The problem is ui customization. Lemmy looks not bad by a functionality. But his ui is creepy.
Gab became an alternative to Twitter. So I think we need a time.
HorseFD@reddit
Lemmy is pretty close if you use a nice app like Voyager.

There isn't as big as reddit, maybe Digg but I feel it will follow the censorship and hive mind. Be the change and participate in other alternatives like Lemmy.

Digg using Ai to moderate, and expressing interest in world coin are two massive red flags.
