Ovary keepers of Gen X, are we doing HRT?

We’re getting older and I’m assuming we are entering menopause or perimenopause soon. How are we handing that? I had a partial hysterectomy (cancer scare, not cancer, phew 7/10 cancer scare was bad, no more periods is awesome) and the a few years later lost an ovary to ovarian torsion (painful, almost bled to death, 0/10 do not recommend), so I’m pretty sure I’m operating on about 1/2 power now but I’m feeling pretty normal over all still. But I’m not sure if I should consider HRT or if the pharmaceutical gods have decided pregnant horse pee isn’t the cure all they once thought it was. Is there an alternative? Or do we age gracefully? But with a lack of hormones, comes all the stuff that pretty much sucks about aging (bone loss, muscle loss, loss of sex drive…) So what is the current prevailing wisdom on this? I don’t really want to feel old, even if I am old. Are we supposed to hit the gym, eat more salads, and buy KY?
