Can you use AI to grammar check your CV?

I was wondering if you could use AI to grammar check your CV. It's not like Im using to write my CV for me. All I'm doing is using it to point out mistakes in my writing so I can fix them myself.

Some questions can easily be searched online in order to find an answer - including questions like "what should I see when visiting the UK?" or "what is the average salary of an X job?" or "what is living in Y like?" or "where can I buy X?" or "is Y product any good?"
AskUK is unable to be your search engine and the answers to these questions are easily found using basic research and internet-skills. If you struggle to find the result of your question using Google or other search engine, make sure that you use all the tricks and tips available and try again.
For visiting and tourist related suggestions, we suggest WikiTravel, WikiVoyage, or TripAdvisor. There also may be more regional subreddits such as /r/London or /r/Manchester that will provide better answers.
If you have already make all efforts to search online, please delete your post and re-ask the question including more detail about what you have looked for, found, or heard.

What are you writing your CV in that doesn't have grammar checking built in?

AI will generally do a better job than a simple spellchecker. It will pickup more nuanced grammatical issues, and spelling mistakes where the another word was used by mistake (definitely versus defiantly for example)

Honestly I would suggest not
Whilst I am biased in suggesting people not use AI in general, I would also say that things like spelling should be checked by either an inbuilt spell-checker, or one of those online checkers (or even just a mate)
But also, for re-wording I wouldn't trust it AI has a way of writing things that is really easy to spot if you know where to look. I am not one of those people who does, but having worked with people in a hiring position, I can confirm that they can usually tell.
Good luck with the job search and if you do need help with your CV, I'm sure there are people more than willing to help guide you on the best next steps!
(Also, as a bonus rule of thumb, here's a quick list of good things to include and a rough order:
1- who are you? Name, address, contact details and a brief summary, no more than a paragraph or two. Catchy
2- what have you done? Job history (including dates as specific as you can remember, at least to the month), education, achievements, qualifications, skills (KEY WORDS are extremely important here. You want to get caught by both people skimming for key words and people actually reading)
And 3- who are you again? Tell me a little about yourself outside of work, what do you do? A bit of car work here? A bit of music there? Lots of friends and a charity worker? Who knows! Sell yourself as a person at the end, you've already sold yourself as an employee,
How long should it all be? Bout 1-2 A4 pages worth, just keep the formatting consistent and you'll probably be there already
Hope this helps and good luck again with the search!!!

grammarly counts as an AI tool and i use that all the time! honestly i don’t think it would matter if you even used it to write it (although it’s always better to write it yourself) so i see no problem why you couldn’t! it’s only spell check! make sure you mention uk spelling coz AI usually have US spelling default :)

Super easy to give chat gpt your CV and just say don't change anything, just grammar check. Maybe specify British English.

Yeah, doing this is fine, though tbh AI is overkill, lots of apps can do grammar checking just fine without AI. MS Word's grammar check has gone completely to shit since they started shoehorning AI into it, though idk if the AI is the reason.

You should ask AI this question, seriously.
