I caught the pilot bug recently and I'm really considering going into missionary flying with JAARS or MAF or a similar organization. Can anyone speak to the effectiveness of these groups with combatting poverty and spreading the gospel? I really love flying and I would be interested in using my faith in my career but I'm struggling to understand what truly helps those in need and how to eliminate the "White Savior" mentality. Has anyone on Reddit have any experience who can comment on my conundrum?
