Can we enter a concert late?

Bit of a weird question. We’ve got tickets to a concert at the CIA, it starts at 7PM as usual. However, my partner doesn’t finish work until 8PM, and won’t arrive until to the arena until 9PM. We don’t mind missing the supports, but will be allowed to enter that late?
I’ve looked online for any info and can’t find any, and it’s really playing on our minds.

You need to contact the person(s)/company, not AskUK.
AskUK is not the customer service helpline of any company or organisation in the UK and we will remove submissions that ask questions that the relevant organisation or person will be able to help with or provide an answer to. AskUK cannot be used because you have been unable to or failed to contact the organisation/subject. And especially not if you're trying to use AskUK because you will think it will be quicker than contacting the subject.
The first step of any issue is to communicate with the people involved. You should contact the subject through all available methods, including phone, e-mail, social media, and use their complaints process (e.g., using a service like Resolver). In the event this is a person, talk to them. Reasonably AskUK'ers do not know what people closer to you may be thinking.
If you are having trouble with a company, AskUK cannot help you resolve your dispute with an organisation and looking for "similar experiences" will still not resolve your query with them either.
We primarily remove these because;
We get too many posts asking things like "Will Evri deliver my parcel?"
We wish to avoid being a focus group for interpersonal situations AskUK cannot definitively answer like "Why did my mother abandon us so young?".

This entirely depends when doors close, this should be on the ticket information. The venue or your ticket information should be able to provide this information.

Nothing on the ticket or the venue website, I’m Popping the venue an email.

If it's the Cardiff arena ( I had to check what CIA was, so hope that's right) the website was quite unhelpful and did say it was artist dependant. You may be able to ring the box office for a bit better advice.

Yes, sorry I shouldn’t have abbreviated, it’s the Cardiff arena. I didn’t find anything on their website either. I’ve filled in a contact form and sent that off for now but will call them tomorrow.

No worries, the websites can be hit or miss with helpful advice

Totally depends on the artist and their rules. Used to work at a venue and varies hugely.
Some would want the bar open all the time and for people to go in and out. Some have the bar closed once the concert begins and only open it at the interval.
And some won’t allow latecomers at all!
Definitely contact the venue, ask to speak to the Duty Manager as they’ll have that sort of information.
Hope you have a great night.

Never heard of late attendees being denied entrance - except at classical concerts. And I've been to a great many in my time!
SorchaCatherine@reddit (OP)
Me neither, it’s just a worry. We’ve never arrived later than 8:30PM before.
Apprehensive_Cup211@reddit
I would check with the venue.

Nothing on their website, I’m popping them an email.
Nightowl_1786@reddit
Ive seen people arrive late to concerts I’ve been to in the past
SorchaCatherine@reddit (OP)
We’ve arrived late before, just never at 9PM, usually 8-8:30PM

Gigs i go to doors open at 7 and the main act usually comes on a bit past 9 and you can turn up whenever. (london - indie, rock etc)
dinkidoo7693@reddit
Depends on the arena security and what time the main artist takes to the stage.
