I like la espanola.
If you can find a real Greek oil, they're usually nice for topping.
I also got a Tunisian olive oil once which I liked.
Since I usually cook with it, and make caprese, I cannot remember the uncooked tastes, but I bake with it and la espanola tastes great in cakes.

Be careful of Spanish olive oil for a while. So many olive groves were lost in the floods last year.

Are you sure you actually like olive oil? Kinda sounds like you don't.
Maybe try using a more neeutral oil in you recipes to let the other flavours shine through.

I think the oil I have atm is particularly bitter. Good for cooking not for drizzling.

Belazu Crete Gold is one of the best mass market brands available in the supermarket.

Thanks, I might pick up the Belazu one. Looks like it's on offer in Waitrose.

You don't put olive oil in hummus. You (optionally) put it on top of the hummus, after mixing. The reason for this is that the mixing process for hummus breaks down the olive oil, which may release bitter substances from it.
Of course some olive oils are bitter even before mixing. To avoid this, look for ones that are described as 'buttery'. Good Housekeeping has a helpful list.

I meant to use it as part of a topping.

Citizens of soil do brilliant oils.

I buy pouches of citizens of oil, really really nice. My subscription is every 2 months and every oil has been different but delicious

dilute your oil with a neutral oil or a lighter olive oil. straight olive oil in large doses is very bitter. If I want to make a mayonaise with an extra virgin oil, it'll be maybe 20% extra virgin max and the rest something like soya or peanut oil.
