Is a 2 hour commute to flight school crazy?

This has been my life in the years I’ve been training. Is it bad or somewhat normal amongst other students?

2 hours total or each way?
2 hours total would be pushing what I’d consider a good idea. I got my CFI from a place that was maybe 45 minutes away with no traffic. With traffic it’d go over an hour.
2 hours each way would be a non-starter for me.
If you’ve been doing it obviously you’re making work but I wouldn’t say it’s the norm.

Yeah two hours each way in the summer. In the fall and winter it’s like 1 hour 20 to 30.

How is there such a huge difference based on the seasons???

Sounds miserable.
Depending where I'm instructing I drive 6 miles, 16 miles, 30 miles, or 94 miles. Even 94 doesn't take me two hours.

How much do you want to learn how to fly?

If you fly 5 days a week there are instructors who will come to your local airport.
