He comes every summer

Why do they need these huge airplanes ? Like why ?
Every luxury and activity they feel like indulging in at 30 thousand feet can be had in a business jet or a smaller commercial airliner for quarter the price.

Smaller commercial airliner maybe, some countries do use A320s and 737 as head of state aircraft. Business jets are just too small. Think of all the vehicles in a motorcade — protection/security, communications, health/medical teams, etc. — all filled with people. You maybe have other high level positions with their crews as well. You’ve also got press and news crews following along. All of those people have to get on the plane. A business jet with 20 seats won’t cut it.

The king has a large family (4 wives, 12 children). And like any head-of-state he likely travels with a minimum number of aides, advisors, medical staff and a security detail. The largest business jets (e.g. Gulfstream) have maximum 20 seats.

It’s often a dick size comparison unfortunately

It's literally the only 747 in operation under the royal flight, it wasn't even bought by the government (gifted by the Sultan of Brunei). I don't know why you're trying to score brownie points by making shit up.

How many black GMCs outside your house rn?

Be careful before you get deported 🤣✌🏽

Not really - business jets are about speed and versatility, not luxury. Rich people use them if they need to get from A to B quickly because they go faster and can operate from more airfields. But they’re too small for lots of luxuries you’d get on first class commercial or private airliners like these.

Aside from dickwaving, probably the range. Underloaded in a private net configuration and that’s likely a nonstop to any point on earth.

There are very few places on earth the King of Bahrain needs to go to.

I imagine it's a gift from his buddies in Saudi Arabia.

If you’ve ever been to Bahrain in summer, you understand why he’s in Nice.

Well I am there now and it’s 37 degrees at night

And so humid today …

I now live in Bahrain and love it, but during the summers here I miss London’s rain and “eternal autumn”. And I miss Nice a bit - good memories from there 🥹
