What is an odd thing you had to deal with at work?

This could be anything. For me it was a year back (I’ll make it short, ironically making it longer) when we had to hire a new staff to do phone calls and basic data entry onto a PC. Call potential clients, do they want to work with us? Gather info, put that on their profile etc. easy work. Anyway, we hired her and in the interview we went through the basics of the job, and she agreed to it and said she could do it. This is the type of job you can train anyone for. She started, on the first day someone was assigned to help train her up and told straight up that she can’t do phone calls because it gives her anxiety?… but they went through the job details and said it was okay. Anyway, not wanting to make it worse than it is, we compromise and let someone else do the call and relay it back to her so she can put in the details but ofc this can create a lot of hassle back and fourth and takes longer than usual. She got the sack after 3 or 4 days later and she later put in a claim for discrimination. Idk what happened after that.
