Dog owners, do you put your “dog eggs” in peoples bins if there ain’t a rubbish bin or dog bin about?

This morning I took the dog on a route where there ain’t any bins, proper in the countryside with a few houses here and there.
Anyway, we were approaching a house down this little lane and my dog decided to lay a few dog eggs, I picked them up in my green food recycling bag and deposited them in the bin outside this house.
I carried on and a few seconds later I heard a posh voice shout “oh excuse me”, I turned round and this posh bloke was saying about me putting stuff in his bin, I said “my dog had a dump mate, I’m being good by bagging and disposing of it”, he was getting red faced and I walked off and shouted “don’t worry about it mate, just put your rubbish on top”
I wouldn’t care less if someone put their dog shite in my bin, I mean it’s a bloody bin ffs it’s for stuff like that.

The entitlement of some dog owners (like yourself) is unreal. The bag could split or rip when they put their rubbish on top, and then they have to clean the shit of a stranger's dog from theirbown bin.
The whole 'it will smell anyway' is a weak point - sure, bins will smell smell in this weather, but you're risking making it much worse by adding dog shit into the mix. You may be comfortable with the possibility of your bin reeking of dog shit, but others not so much. This whole post smacks of someone who can't see from any other perspective but their own.
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
Who cleans their bin? I don’t and no one I know does, sounds a middle class thing to clean a bin lol
I was out in the sticks and there was no bins about, I ain’t carrying a dog bag for miles so I slung it in the nearest bin like anyone I know would.
HalfAgony-HalfHope@reddit
Literally everyone I know cleans their bins every once in a while.
You sound like a tramp.
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
Thanks, I’ve never known anyone to be arsed to clean a bin, maybe they do in the posh parts of town but round here we certainly don’t.
HalfAgony-HalfHope@reddit
Working class people used to be some of the most house proud people going. Pristine white nets, clean step - definately not posh.
Wanting nice things isnt about being posh. Its about not wanting to live in a shit hole. There are rough as fuck council estates where cars are burned out, on bricks, rubbish in the road, old toys in gardens etc because people cant be arsed and seem content to live in squalor.
Being poor isnt an excuse for being a lazy arse.
SomeHSomeE@reddit
I'm assuming by dog eggs you mean dog shit. What a weird thing to call them.
And yes it's very rude to put dog shit in someone's bin. Especially with the current heat. It'll stink. Hold onto it and take it home / until you come across a public bin like a normal person.
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
Yeah well I was out in the wilds, there ain’t no dog bins, and I ain’t carrying it about for ages so I sensibly disposed of it in someone’s bin.
All I’m saying is I dunno why people are getting their knickers in a twist about it, no one I know would care less if their bin was full of dog shite.
UnacceptableUse@reddit
Why did you ask this question if you weren't prepared for the answer to be no?
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
Well it’s just weird, why does everyone I know not care less what goes in their bin? I’d have thought you’d get a few Hyacinth Bucket types on here who’d moan, but everyone nigh on is slagging me.
UnacceptableUse@reddit
How do you know that everyone you know wouldn't care? I think there's also a but of a filtering of opinions here, I'd say the vast majority of people wouldn't care that much but they're not going to comment. Personally, I'd be a little bit annoyed but not hugely pissed off
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
Oh man you should come to our estate, burnt out car in the car park been there a year, houses boarded up, family of rats near the communal bins, I think dog shite in a bin is the least of it.
I’m part of the underclass, we try and get on, head down and keep our noses clean, but none of us have got a penny round here.
HalfAgony-HalfHope@reddit
Im from a shit council estate up north. Not having a penny isn't an excuse for poor behaviour.
The few that have the idea that you can do whatever you want and act like a scally and just expect other people to accept it like its normal is what makes other people look down on the working class.
SomeHSomeE@reddit
Part of being a responsible dog owner is having to deal with things like this. If you don't like it then don't get a dog.
It tracks that people you know also don't think it's wrong - arseholes tend to hang around with other arseholes.
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
No, we just live on an estate where no one care about stuff like that.
FixMiserable520@reddit
What were you hoping for here, sympathy? 🥴
Zorolord@reddit
I wouldn't mind if it was bagged, but I am dog owner. If I wasnt use to dog crap I would probably get annoyed.
DOPEYDORA_85@reddit
You have definitely missed the mark on this
GeggingIn@reddit
Dog eggs for breakfast.
Princes_Slayer@reddit
No not at all. I carry the full pop bags with me until I find a public bin to dispose of them. If there isn’t one during the walk, I dispose of it in my own bin when I get home. If I’m in the car, I’ve been known to tie them to the roof rack until I spot a bin to stop at.
ThePineappleSeahorse@reddit
No I’d never do that. Public bins only. The smell is so much worse with dog popp bags in them and if they burst it’s utterly disgusting to clean. Plus it isn’t my bin to fill.
OriginalZumbie@reddit
It's honestly disgusting to out fog shit in someone's private bin. Awful behaviour. Also 'dog eggs'? Wtf
FirstAndOnly1996@reddit
Gods! Josies Son has returned, from the dead!
wholesomechunk@reddit
No, public bins are there for that purpose. Dog crap can stink in the bin.
Lottiepop420@reddit
What the fuck? No. First of all, it's shit, not an egg. Jesus Christ, I'm surprised we didn't have 'fur baby' as well. Secondly yes rubbish stinks but not as much as a bag full of shit. Or eggs!
Neddlings55@reddit
No, its classed as fly tipping.
I live in the countryside. I pick my dogs shit up and carry it. Even if that means carrying for half a day or more.
They make products designed for carrying dog shit. There are also pockets and backpacks (mine goes in a side pocket ive set aside just for poo). Lack of bins is a piss poor excuse for either not picking up, or chucking a filled bag where it doesnt belong.
I dont even put my own dogs shit in my bin until its the night before collection. I have a special one just for shit that the flies cant get in to, lay their eggs, and produce lots of lovely little maggots.
wordsfromlee@reddit
The worst thing about this story is that you call them dog eggs.
Economy_Neat_6970@reddit
Sorry, I have to disagree with you on this one. My former posh neighbour used to do this - note that she didn't put the dog poo into her bin, just mine. When I challenged her, she said it didn't matter which bin it went into. Apparently it did matter to her if she kept avoiding putting it in her own bin, and it did matter to me as I don't want someone else's excrement in my bin. I think she did it as I was poorer than her, so I didn't matter. It was completely disrespectful.
In my view, if it's your rubbish of whatever type to throw away, you dispose of it in your own bins or in a dedicated dog poo bin. Not someone else's personal property.
knight-under-stars@reddit
No, absolutely not.
It's my dog so the dogshit is my responsibility. I'll keep it until I encounter a poo bin or get home.
HalfAgony-HalfHope@reddit
Its bloody weird. Why would you think its ok to put dog sh*t one someones else's bin?
Depending on collections it could be there for a week, bah or not, it'll reek.
Greengrass7772@reddit (OP)
Well a bin will stink anyway, especially in this weather.
I tied up the dog bag so it’s not as if I was bunging fresh dog eggs in the bin.
I don’t know why people worry about it, a bin is a bin, it’ll stink whatever you put in it.
Cam2910@reddit
It wont drink of dog shit unless someone puts dog shit in it.
The reason your fussy footing around calling them dog eggs is because deep down you know the truth. It's poo. It's your dogs poo and believe it or not, no one else should have to deal with it. I sometimes ram my wheelie bin full to the brim.
Sir-Craven@reddit
Dog shit stinks so I would understand if someone else said they didn't want it in their bin.
If someone called out and spotted me putting it in their bin and asked me not to, I wouldn't have the audacity to give them lip about it. Id go and retrieve it and find another bin.
I also don't think if give enough of a shit to call someone out about it, so yeah.
RBisoldandtired@reddit
Any one calling dig shit “eggs” is always a fucking wrong un
petrolstationpicnic@reddit
Ye, don’t do that.
Your dog - your shit - your bin
AlterlifeBeginsNow@reddit
No, you are indeed the wanker here. Take it home.
AkraStar@reddit
Absolutely not.
Those bags break can split and get shit inside the bin. When the weather is hot also it can make the bin stink.
If there are no bins, you carry the bag home with you and then dispose of it there.
HelloItsMeIsThatYou@reddit
Nope. Take it home and put it in my own bin.
FrankyFistalot@reddit
Would have been good manners to ask before you did it, that’s probably why the guy was pissed off. It’s your dog shit so how you put it in your bin….
EvilTaffyapple@reddit
No, I bring them back to mine or find a public bin
mercurialmeee@reddit
Yeah, this isn't something you should do. I'd be mad if it were my bin IMO.
DOPEYDORA_85@reddit
Absolutely not, impolite and unfair on that person. Take it with you
SkipMapudding@reddit
No as it’s not my bin.
FixMiserable520@reddit
No, and fuck people who do.
It’s not your bin.
WoeUntoThee@reddit
No, I’d carry it home if there was no public bin
Harrry-Otter@reddit
Don’t own a dog, but I wouldn’t be too thrilled about you putting your dogs shite in my bin.
7844555233399947@reddit
No, I take it home because I'm not a cunt.
Toc13s@reddit
Take it home. Put it in your bin
WantWantShellySenbei@reddit
Nah, I wouldn’t. Even if it’s a bin not everyone wants dog poo in it.
