What's your approach for holding a pair programming interview?

I just heard I'll be holding an interview with a candidate for a developer position and that it will be a pair programming interview.
We'll ask to solve one of the easy codingame questions (like Thor) so that it's not something difficult, but rather a chance for us to see how it would be working with that candidate.
How do you handle pair programming interviews so that you gauge a candidate's skills (soft and technical) in a way that they still feel comfortable?

When I interview someone I just ask them to walk me through some recent code they wrote.

Most people won't be able to show you since that will be internal to a company they worked for.

if they have no personal code then i wouldn't even consider them, or nothing on github.

They might be the lucky party in this exchange to be honest.
A job is just a job, I don't expect people to program after their hours. If they learn new things during work hours that's good enough for me.

Agree.
