Anyone know why there is a C-130 at BNE (Brisbane) airport?

If its a -30 (long boi with 8 pallet positions instead of 6) then its probably Australian, other could be American from Osan (tokyo).

Its a J so its not Australian
brittmac422@reddit
Not a J model. J models have 6-bladed props. Though some of the older H and T’s have been getting the 8-bladed props, like the E-2d. By the way, doesn’t Australia have J models as well? I could be mistaken.
killerbacon678@reddit
Sorry I meant to say not a J model so not Australian.

Aussie camo has been pretty sweet. Like it on the helos especially (I may be a helo guy primarily).

Australia only has J models, which makes their comment even more ridiculous lol. The H models were retired all the way back in 2012.

My bad dude I forgot to add the not a J model. I have been around these thinks a lot in my life 😭

No stress, happens to everyone haha

overtue1@reddit
I thought it was CAF aircraft cause recently few CAF aircraft have been to Brisbane.
Also, out of topic but there is a us military carrier in brisbane rn. Might see it if i get time.
747ER@reddit
It’s a short KC-130T model

To not offer sarcastic replies, it’ll help to know the tail number, AU ones should be in Amberley.
benevolentmalefactor@reddit
Delivering our official traffic threat letter? Yes, it should be to Canberra but no one in the US government even knows where Australia is.

🤣

It’s here for Exercise Talisman Sabre. It’s been in and out of Brissy for a few days now, flying up to CQ to assist with the training exercise.
InsuranceLess7501@reddit (OP)
Ooh that would be nice to watch
Final-Lie-2@reddit
It feels wrong, seeing the a380 there. The c130 looks too small there.
Hairy-Platypus3880@reddit
Because it landed there
Duckbilling2@reddit
Could be going to invercargill then on to Antarctica
Tho it's not the correct time of year for that
Toomanynightshifts@reddit
International war games are on in Brisbane. Amberley airbase is close and probably out of space. There's alot of countries participating.

Load master vet here. We would land anywhere and everywhere just depending on crew rest flight times and where we are going next. BUT when I was in Japan we did fly to Australia a lot.

Probably hauling rubber dogshit to Hong Kong

to?

Even the cool planes need a place to sleep.
If you have a picture from the side, it'd be a bit easier to figure out though. Checking the tail number will tell ya all kinds of good stuff.
