slingshots for doomsday? what's y'all's opinion?

So I'm just wondering how the people you plan to have a slingshot on them are gonna do about bands and how they can't make new rubber. Like they'd a very good option especially with modified arrows or darts you can take out pretty large game with them as well for them being so compact (honestly a better idea than all those single shot 22 survival rifles) but what is y'all's plan on bands and how many would you have at your bug out location? And how long would they last?

My whole philosophy that I'm doing with my prepping is what can be given to my great grandkids after the fall that'll still work or at least the knowledge on how to make one. Which is my problem with guns and compound bows , and why I prefer a blow gun for what I'd mainly use because how easy all of the stuff it needs is to make.

I'm just wondering y'all's option and what the people who plan on having a slingshot have figured out

Ps. As a side note and on the thing with slings, if you ever find yourself with a large group of people and not enough weapons to arm all of them, the simple sling is one of the most resource efficient weapons to make and only like takes a week or so to learn how to do and packs a crazy punch
