What? The best part about that game was exploring the open world. Literally climbing around botw style and unlocking all the points of interest had me hooked, I almost immediately lost interest after I explored the whole map.
Real. I don’t play anymore but I remember finding the one floating island in Liyue (dwelling in the clouds) on accident one day and it was such a vibe. The game has tons of incredible views and fun little areas you can only find if you are thoroughly exploring or using external help. A very large portion of the progression basically forces you to explore the surprisingly deep world.
Genshin is honestly fine but it is gacha, the writing is bad, character progression is stale, and the open world is very bloated. If you're interested in gacha games, there are many better choices. That being said, only play gacha if you trust yourself not to get addicted to the gambling.
Are there any other gacha games that do what Genshin do but better? One of the factors that got me to play Genshin was it's overworld exploration mechanics similar to BOTW and it's the only one I play.
Damn MGSV is fun. Probably best stealth mechanics in a game to date, and some pretty fun full-out attack mechanics too. You feel like prime 2012 Obama, calling air strikes in afghanistan left and right
The "boredom" problem i had with the game was there were never enough enemy encounters to warrant those air strikes and other lethat tools , you can manage everything on your own even if you just have the basic tool kit i.e c4, smokes, grenades, a rifle and a tranq. especially if you time it at night.
It's up to player's liberty. My choice of operation was to land the helicopter directly on the roof of ennemy's bases while blasting hurricane 2000 from the Scorpions from the megaphone and showering the poor ennemy soldiers under a hail of bullets with the chopper's machinegun before using rocket and grenade launchers to everything more armored than a naked person.
Truly the peak of infiltration. No one will notice you if there is no one left to notice.
I kind of wish you could choose to deploy with literally nothing outside of the designated subsistance missions. I like figuring out the optimal way to slit an entire camp's throats.
if you play on pc, there’s a mod that lets you basically change the rules of the game, enemy spawn rates, their vision and hearing, what gear they bring and what you bring, etc. it’s called infinite heaven, and if you tune it to your liking, it can be extremely fun
Sorry but the "mysterious stone rings" trope doesnt equal "automatically interesting" and apart from that your image is just a cookie cutter anime MC in front of a bland Wii U era landscape so eh you arent selling it well.
The gacha aspect is pretty minor. Unless you count the endgame contents, you don't even need to pull for characters to enjoy 99.999999% of the contents of the game.
i actually played through this and it exists. it's like listening to pop music or watching superhero movies, yup it's definitely a game 👍 will keep you entertained for an hour you want to shave off your day but don't expect anything deeper than that
I've been bored lately so I gave Genshin Impact a shot. And I have to agree with everything apart from the last point. The characters are not overly sexualized (at least those I unlocked freely), I actually expected worse.
people dont realize that genshin is actually quite normal for a gacha and doesnt have many weird anime things. something like azure lane or black dust 2 are actual gooner gacha games

You could also not play gacha games at all because you are a well functioning human not obsessed with spending money rolling for cartoon women.
Tenuous_Fawn@reddit
Who said you have to spend money? Genshin is free to play unlike $80 AAA games.

that is one of the reasons why MGSV is so good. it's all up to you how hard you want to engage with it.

Yeah, it's nice as a stealth sandbox but it's very, very boring outside of that.

Damn, the stealth sandbox game is boring when I'm not playing it like a stealth sandbox, who would've thought?

MGS wasn't a stealth sandbox before 5.
