Looking for a good instructor/school in San Diego area for BFR and transition flying (foreign PPL holder)

Hey everyone,
I recently got my FAA Private Pilot Certificate issued under 61.75, based on my EASA PPL. I’ve flown around 50 hours in Poland, but this will be my first time flying in English — even though I’ve already passed the ICAO English exam.
I’m looking for a good instructor or school in the San Diego area to complete a BFR, and then continue flying with an instructor to get familiar with U.S. airspace, local procedures, and radio comms here in SoCal. I’m confident in my flying, but I want to build up experience in the American system the right way, with someone knowledgeable and supportive.
If you have any recommendations for CFIs or schools you trust, I’d really appreciate it!
Also, what should I expect or study before the BFR? Airspace classes, weather interpretation, VFR sectional charts? Any guidance is welcome!
Thanks a lot!

Plus One Flyers is one of the best clubs in the country if you plan to fly quite a bit, and they have their own CFIs. I haven't gotten instruction but I do know a few CFIs and they're great

It’s not a BFR. Just say “flight review.”
You shouldn’t have trouble finding someone who wants to fly with a licensed pilot. Good luck and enjoy flying in the US!
