Do I go to an emergency dentist?

So I’m waiting to have a left bottom back molar removed in hospital next month cos I have to have steroid coverage to do it. My tooth had been killing me for a week and now I am getting other symptoms like numb and weird feeling front teeth, the top of my nose feels like it’s got something stuck up it but also numb at the same time and all my teeth hurt. I rang my dentist and they said they’re a dentist down today so have had to move all the emergency cases to tomorrow (which seems odd, wouldn’t you move some of the regular appointments and se the emergencies today???)
I don’t even know what they’ll be able to do tomorrow, should I just call 111 and see if there is somewhere I can go urgently today?

Must be different services in different areas. Did you put that you were in pain and swelling and really big it up? If not go back and fill it in again but say there is swelling and see if you the same response.

Yes it just recommend my dentist!

Jesus that's not good. My experience was radically different to yours but I'm in Yorkshire so experiences vary it seems.

Ring around and find a private practice that will fit you in today.
Last_Negotiation4073@reddit (OP)
I can’t do that unfortunately as I’m on benefits and can’t afford it.

Have you tried 111 yet?

Worth noting if its a wisdom tooth an emergency dentist won't pull it out, they'll refer you to an actual dentist, they'll do a quick fix and get you out of pain. But I went a few weeks ago and the dentist said something about a nerve being very close to the wisdom teeth and they'll need proper xrays before attempting removal

I had my wisdom teeth out ages ago so it’s not. I’m waiting to have this one out in an outpatient hospital setting
