Benidorm - are there any good bars around the strip area?

Hearing some absolute horror stories about loads of bars on the strip having bouncers that kick the shit out of people for no reason, but are there any good, honest bars where a stag do can go and drink the night away without the threat of getting be assaulted by doormen? the stuff i'm reading online about the Red Lion seems absurd, but its the same stories being repeated over and over by different people, i'll be staying well clear of that bar
there are quite a few of us 20-30 in the group, so going to the old town isn't an option, just want to have a good laugh and few days drinking in the sun. any recommendations?

Sinatra’s! The staff (bouncers included) are lovely, great music, etc

Avoid the Red Lion. I'd normally say no smoke without fire regarding Spanish police and bouncers, I know they do love to give people a kicking, but the Red Lion reviews look like it might be a genuine concern atm. I do recall it being rough as shit, and that's saying something for a Benidorm crowd.
Better to just go with your judgement when you get there. We all had a blast, you can quickly tell which places are decent.

The Red Lion is as Benidorm as it gets, sleazy with various sex shows. Generally if you don’t behave like idiots there won’t be any bother from bouncers or otherwise. I went for a stag do last year in a group of 12 and there was absolutely no agro anywhere we went.
I would say it’s the same most bars you go to, western saloon is good, uncle peds is cheap and a bit off the strip. Maybe split into smaller groups if you’re worried but I would generally say if you’re not looking for trouble, it won’t find you

Yeah, Western saloon or Hotel California are both fine and tend to be a bit of a more sensible crowd.

Most of them are absolutely fine. Even the red lion stuff is probably overblown, though I would probably stay away from there. If there is some aggro starting - just leave. There are pleny of other bars.
For daytime drinks if down that end we normally go to Jumping Jacks, though it's more of an older crowd. Cheap though and never any trouble. Probably more due to habit than anything else as there are plenty of other similar bars.
And you can explore a bit - the way some people talk you would think the old town was in a different time zone.... Some good bars on the front as well (Not just Tiki Beach....)

Did you not consider going to a place that didn't have "bouncers that kick the shit out of people for no reason"?

i'm tagging along as part of a big group, i'm not the organiser. i'd just like to consciously stay away from the worst-of-the-worst bars. theres quite a few sensible lads in the group.

It’s absolutely fine as long as you don’t behave like a dickhead. It’s a great night out if you want it to be. It’s definitely nowhere near as bad as a lot of other places.
