Which Railcard is the most cost-effective for us to buy?

Hello, everyone. I'm 22 years old. I'm going to go to Manchester with my parents, grandparents, and my 10-year-old niece. What type of Railcard is the most cost-effective to buy on TrainPal? Is there a combination package? Is there any activity now? Help

Not a rail card an app, TrainSplit I use when visiting family and friends back in Manchester.

Is this easy to use? What's the discount?

Easy enough to use it’s similar to the Trainline app. I think they do “split fares” so you may have a break in your journey or certain rules for your ticket, however I’ve found you save a bit of money.

If you are travelling with 3 or more people you most companies will automatically give a GroupSave discount of 1/3 off.

Would need to know where you are travelling from, and when.
If it's short notice and/or no cheap advanced tickets are available - or if you don't know what time exactly you are travelling, groupsave ticket might be the best choice, and no railcard to buy. But only available on normal off peak fares.
If there are cheaper advanced tickets available, you could look at a family and friends railcard, which does work on advanced tickets.
