First time ever building a pc.

Hi all, not sure if this should be posted here or on build my PC.
I have been wanting to build a pc for a while now and have finally got a budget of around £3000 and with sales about to start I thought it would be a good time as any.
I have done some research on parts i want and a friend suggested i should ask on this reddit for help in finding out whether i picked right and what eles i would need/change.

As a focus point i am going for a pc that can handle heavily modded games as i mainly play rpgs and a bit of future proofing.
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated
P.s. if anyone could also recommend other pc cases aswell as their optimal layout as i found that the hardest part to pick.

Thats already a pretty good build but id probably still change up a few things. For ram id definitely get cl30 and maybe even 6400mt/s. For the gpu maybe think about getting a 5070ti instead as the 5080 is (only) about 10% faster for about 250£ more. I also feel like a 4tb 990 pro ssd as secondary storage is totally overkill, just get the cheapest gen4 (or even 3) ssd and itll be totally fine for normal data storage and non-gaming applications. Id maybe get a tower air cooler instead of an aio but thats up to you. In terms of the case, its a tad bit expensive for what it is, you can definitely get away with a way cheaper one. All you have to really worry about is if it has enough space for your radiator if you get an aio and if your gpu fits. Else make sure its got a mesh front (or side in bigger ones) intake and a linear airflow and positive pressure, so all fans pointing in the same direction and more intakes than exhaust fans.

Arctic does come with a M-6 thermal paste (single application) if you want to save on the Noctua paste.
PSU, there the Corsair 1000e 2025 version which is like 30 euros cheaper with 12V-2x6 connector dedicate to GPU. I believe most GPU come with an adapter now so it not too big an issue.
You can consider Samsung 9100 NVMe with that budget. It read/write speed (~14k) is twice faster than 990pro (~7k) and can boot window in like 7-10sec compare to 15-20+sec subjective to startup application. Game loading screen and file transfer would be faster too. Of course it pricier so I would recommend using it for your main OS if you want to.
As for case, everyone has their personal preference. You would likely going need to buy additional fan depending on which case you get.

Solid build. Anything extra and you're running into diminishing returns.
Most important thing to check with the case are form factor of your chipset + psu and the form factor of the radiator on the radiator of your watercooler. And you want to obviously make sure your GPU fits, but that's as easy as looking up the dimensions of your GPU + case fans (if you get any in the front) and referencing the dimensions of the case.

change your ram.search for ram with 6000mhz cl 30.
