Chance of acceptance to a GYCDL school

Sorry for the screenshots. They were the only way I could figure out how to post on here!

Apply for workforce development grants at your local unemployment office. Depending on what part of lower Michigan, you're reasonably close to a driving school in South Bend. 3 work course that potentially the state pays for and they work with recruiters from Schneider, TMC, and a whole host of others.
There are several local job offerings in Northern Indiana that might take you fresh from school. My company did with me and 2 other drivers from the same school.

Why do you feel the need to point out your gender? Do you think you're entitled to jump to the front of the line because you have two X chromosomes? I thought we were all about equality right? Gender shouldn't matter, right?

Check out MIWorks, some hoops to jump through but may be able to get assistance or out right paid for schooling.

The spam protection is pretty tight on this sub. Most of us get the pictures.
Can you afford to go to a local CDL school? Community colleges often have a program at a very reasonable cost, and it’s the preferred option compared to a company training program that requires a contract to reimburse them (work for them a year or so, or pay back the difference).
Here you go, all these companies provide training with no upfront cost:
Reefer/dryvan - Prime, Schneider, Werner, CFI, Millis, Swift, Knight, Wilson, Roehl, KLLM, Stevens
Flatbed - TMC, Melton, Maverick, Prime, Swift, Schneider, Roehl
Tanker - Prime, Schneider
LTL, dock to driver programs - SAIA, ABF, Estes, XPO, R&L, FedEx Freight, Old Dominion Freight Lines, UPS
Some companies have associate to driver programs. Walmart, UPS, Publix
Cast a wider net and keep trying. But going to a school first would possibly help you get more opportunities at better companies.
All that said, I will say it’s not the best time to be getting into driving anyway. The industry is tight, good jobs are scarce. It’s not a particularly good job for the first year or two. I typically recommend that if people can do something else, they’re probably better off doing that instead of trucking. A lot of it is just the usual BS in this job and in the industry, but you can still try to make of it what you can. You can try to have a good career and maybe you will; but like most of us, it probably won’t go as good as you think it will, and least to start.
Hope that helps, good luck

It's an extremely bad time to get into trucking. I run for one of the big LTL carriers, and we are dropping runs like wildfire. The only thing keeping the bottom 5 guys on our board running is the fact that they let us higher up senority guys take convenience days to let them work.
I feel bad for anyone trying to get into the buisness right now. You get exploited when your new in a good climate, the opportunities avaliable now are going to be slim pickings.

You couldn't figure out how to type words in a posting type box, but you did anyways? Jesus christ, please stay away from commercial vehicles. Go deliver pizza for Papa John's if you want to drive. You will be happier anyway.

Why haven't you voiced these "concerns" to the countless others, myself included, who have used this method to post?
You seem really fun.

Cool your tits there slim. The filters in this sub can be a little tricky sometimes. She may have been typing keywords that won't allow it to be posted.

/u/Rabbitrides doesn't post this aggressive shit on the dozens of other image-of-text posts that are submitted to this sub weekly, I wonder what the key factor is here...
Could it be that /u/Rabbitrides is a raging incel? 🤔
