Is a B580 the best graphics card at its price?

I have an XFX MERC 6650xt and it runs great on most games (200ish fps). I’m building a pc for my friend and he has a smaller budget, would it be worth it to sell him my card and get an ONIX arc580? The 12gb vram is looking pretty nice. I have a 5800xt as my cpu.

In terms of gaming yes, it is the best for sub $300. Highly recommend it. With 5800xt you shouldn't have a lot of CPU overhead either (except for some obvious CPU-bound games like CS2 or Fortnite).
Plus, XeSS is more available than FSR(4) so you can get essentially free performance in a lot of games.

You mean 5800x

5060ti 16gb or 9060xt 16gb is the lowest gpu i would consider buying new. Else look in the used market for a 6700xt/6750xt.

The 6750xt comparable to the b580?

It has a tad better performance, bought with much more power consumption.

Better with less driver issues in games and no overhead bs.

At MSRP it's pretty good, but you need a relatovely beefy CPU to avoid overhead issues. Some games might have deiver issues, I wouldn't buy it for a complete newbie in PC space.

300 AT is a good price. I usually see them at $300+ BT and that's a bad price for it.

The B580 runs at about RTX 4060 performance. It’s absolutely the best at MSRP. At higher than MSRP the 9060 XT is a better pic. I have the B580 and haven’t had any issues. Runs better than a 3060 TI which was my baseline at the time.

What resolution do you play on?

Depends on the exact price.
