ULPT request: I was almost in an accident this afternoon when a lifted dodge ram truck that refused to yield while merging into my lane.

He then proceeded to scream at me, flip me off, and throw his soda at my vehicle. I have a photo of the rear of his truck with license plate number.

How can I, with satisfying evil grin, remind him to be more polite in the future when merging?

Note 1: This was not a 2-lane road where I could have moved over to let him in. He just barged in.

Note 2: This is in a somewhat small town where I could run into him again. Anonymity is key.

Any private investigator can find where he lives with the tag number you have. Also where he works. This is very little work for a private investigator. I bet that information would cost you $150, give or take.

Then. This gadget will allow you to unscrew the valve core on his tires. You remove the plastic cover from the valve where you add air. Then you use this tool to loosen the doodad inside the valve. This way, the tire will slowly lose air. Obviously the more you unscrew it, the faster it loses air. Ideally you would want it to lose air over a number of days. So he will take it to the tire shop and they will look for a screw or nail puncture in the tire. Which obviously does not exist. I doubt they would be able to tell that the valve stem is partially loosened.

So this would cause him significant inconvenience, particularly if you did it to two or three or even all four tires. Possibly could cause him inconvenience over many weeks and months.

This is a good shady technique, but if he takes it to a tire shop, they will find in almost immediately.

The tire shop is going to float the wheel in a big tub of water looking for bubbles. And/or, they will spray the thing with soap and water looking for leaks. They will 100% check the valve core.

Probably true. I guess after you find where the guy lives/works, it's up to you how far you want to take it and the risks involved. Dumping sardines or fish oil into the HVAC vent below the windshield is not a bad option. Slashing tires, obviously, but risk of being caught. Various ways to damage the paint.

Depending on his employment, there are various ways to at least embarrass him or make him look bad.

I got followed in the middle of the night about a week ago by a methed out lifted ram driver. said he wanted to run me over and kick my ass for cutting them off (i didnt, they were just slow and had to wait a few seconds). anything you do to those people is justified in my opinion.

I’m sure your attempt will go over so well, the Ram guy will change his tune and birds will land on his shoulder because you taught him such a grand lesson.

Rule #1 in driving is to protect yourself, it’s pretty hard to miss a lifted truck and you decided to NOT let them in.

I say, grow up and move on, you were flipped off in traffic, this literally happens all the time and most people don’t have such a fragile ego, they ask for help online.

Next time, grow some balls and fight them right there on the spot, this cowardly shit over a merge/yield is absolutely pathetic
