Recommendations for CFI programs

As everyone knows, the DPE wait across the country is horrendous right now. All of the local CFI programs are telling me to expect 2 months+. After doing research on countless out of state programs, it seems like many are plagued with sleazy business practices, false promises, and long check ride waits. I’ve come to accept that I am not going to find a perfect CFI program, but want to hear perspectives from current CFI’s on their experiences at some of the accelerated programs throughout the country before I drop a bag on a shady CFI factory

Intercept Aviation in Scappoose Oregeon. Did my CFI & CFII in 25 days. Highly recommend

There is no point in getting an accelerated CFI program right now... the market is so drastically saturated that you would be dropping a bag on a CFI program where you won't get a job, unless you just want to get it out of the way and have a fuckton of money... which most people wouldnt blame you for doing.
A opinion on Midwest Corporate Air... I didn't do CFI (or have it in general) but I did do MEL there and had friends who did CFI. It's a crapshoot... expect to be left on your own or make friends who are able to help you get through. Its also outside of Columbus OH... I went to Ohio State so it was very convenient for me and I had friends there but if you're not from Ohio it can be extremely boring and uneventful... Also it's not 10 days, dont believe what they say... it's closer to 14-21 days. The only real plus of going there is that you get a DPE quickly.

Venture North Aviation in Minnesota. I would just make sure to go in with some right seat transition already

The accelerated programs don't really make you a CFI. They may help you refine your presentation for a specific DPE, but they don't teach you how to be an instructor. For that you need to find a good CFI who makes good CFIs and work with them.
You need the knowledge yes, but understanding what it means to be an instructor is the big thing. You can do accelerated training with any quality CFI trainer if you already have the aviation knowledge. That is solely on you. For FOI and how to be an instructor, seek out a CFI who makes a lot of CFIs. I highly recommend r/ltcterry if you can spend some time in his area. He can usually work with you to find a time slot with a DPE and then work backwards from there.

Blue line I’ve heard a-lot of good things about them. And I believe have self examining authority

Owner is a DPE and I think one or two more are part of the crew.

I offer personalized one on one CFI training.
If schedule permits we can get the ground and flight done quickly. But I more a fan of quality over quickly.
And the examiners out here are also busy people, so I don’t promise a fast exam. But will help make the wait as short as reasonable.
If you have your knowledge exams done and started in on lesson summary creation, a cost estimate for ground and flight instruction is close to $4,000.
We can do it in your aircraft. But if you need a rental aircraft, then you’ll join https://www.fortworthflyingclub.org and we use their 172’s for $80/dry.
