looking for a cheap, reliable car (€900 budget) is it possible in europe?

So here's the situation: I make around $1,500 a month — $1,100 from my stable job and about $200 a week from freelance work. I urgently need a car because they're removing public transportation in my town. They're basically leaving just one bus that goes to a bigger station, which is about two hours away — a total nightmare.
My question is: Is there any car that's cheap and reliable? I don’t care if it’s old, I just need something I can depend on for 2–3 years, and my budget is under $1,000. I know it’s a long shot, but I have faith in Reddit. I'm based in Europe.

Sure, it's possible. Go early to mid 90s and small, either French (Renault 5/Twingo, Peugeot 205) or Japanese (Toyota Starlet, Suzuki Swift) and try to find one that belonged to a 'little old lady' - or at the very least has something resembling a service history. Being in Spain rust shouldn't be a major concern like it is further up north.

Ok I may advise a Renault twingo (first version). Less than 1k, small engine, easy to repair, kinda reliable. And small.
