Liberty university online degree

Thinking of going with LU for flight training. Already have my PPL and would start IR and so forth with LU. I am current military so I qualify for VA assistance, GI bill 1606, and Yellow Ribbon. Is LU a good spot for me? Want to go to CFI/CFII/MEI and not worry about RATP/ATP for now

If you’re gonna do your certs soon, might as well hold off on the degree. I am currently doing ERAU online and all my certs including my ATP got me a total of around 34 credits. Not saying you have to wait until you get your ATP, but if you’re getting your ratings relatively quickly, might as well get the certs then get the credit towards the certs once you start your degree.

Join RTAG Nation on FB. Search Liberty University and read through some questions that others have had.

I had a decent experience with them. Finished my ratings and degree in about 2 1/2 years. Classes were pretty easy as long as you put a little bit of effort in.

Don't do it. Their academic standards have been under criticism for a long time and check reviews for their flight program. Their degree is not well-regarded.

What makes it not well-regarded? Do people think LU doesn’t produce good pilots or is it something about the university within itself, not necessarily regarding their aviation department
