Flying to TUS. From PHX area.

This is to all those career tracks, aero suns, riddles, and aviators. When you get switched to Tucson tower. Please say intentions. Everyone just says “call sign, inbound” then it’s me repeating to say intentions. Please let us know if you want a full stop or touch n go. You do it every time going into DVT, FFZ, IWA, etc. so why not at TUS. I believe it’s because it’s Tucson Tracon so pilots assume Tracon tells us. They don’t
Thank you

You guys are the absolute best controllers. Always so nice and accommodating. Never get a chance to tell you guys that but we all notice and appreciate it.

Third this. I’m TUS based. You all rock.

Thanks FAM.

Second this. Grateful to be going through training in y'all's airspace.

I used to do this flight all the time, always said "inbound for full stop" or whatever. I don't know why you wouldn't do that. Maybe some people are intimidated by a class C enough to truncate their calls? It's not *that* busy there...

That’s all we ask

I spent several years instructing out of TUS (2011-14), and the controllers there were always top notch.
My personal favorite was hearing the TRACON basically kick a Transpac (now Aeroguard) solo student out of the airspace after said student couldn't follow basic directions, only for said student to go back to the PHX area by going straight west.

I used to fly KFFZ-KTUS all the time. The guys in the tower at TUS are some of the best. Do what OP is asking to help keep them friendly!!

Kircheck is always dorking something up.

I heard a United Aviate plane get chewed out by TRACON on proper radio utilization. Every call they made was 20 seconds long and forgot crucial information the controller requested.
After the chewing out, Varney goes on to make another 20 second call forgetting the thing they were asked at the end of the chewing out. Funny stuff.

Someone missed the lesson about brevity on freq

Man... glad im not those guys.
I just forget TUS is down a runway

I was flying into PHX just the other day, and listened to a career track get “educated” on freq. Made my heart happy.

Had aeroguard get educated by approach doing the bravo transition. Approach asked them 3 times for their aircraft type. Aeroguard would either not respond or forget their call sign
