PP knowledge test

Ok so I had to retake the private pilot written/knowledge test today because my previous one expired before I could get a check ride passed.
I got the exact same score today that I got 2 years ago (95%).
I have a couple questions though.
"In addition to anticollision lights, which lights should be turned on prior to engine startup?"
A) interior lights B) landing lights C) nav lights/position lights
Now, there's a plausible valid argument for each of these, so i genuinely have no idea what answer the FAA was looking for. At first I thought interior lights so you can see gauges. Then I thought landing light(s) because they might light up the prop area so you can make sure there's no one near the prop. I ended up answering B, landing lights, for that reason. I don't know if i got that one wrong or not.
"If a runway closure is temporary or very recent, where would a pilot find this information?" (I'm paraphrasing, I don't remember the exact wording of the questions).
A) FDC NOTAMs B) distant NOTAMs (D-NOTAMS) C) SAA NOTAMs
I had no idea so I took a wild ass guess and picked SAA NOTAMs.

You do not want interior lights on at night, it'll screw up your night vision. The six-pack of gauges should have lights on them, but if you need to look at something else, use a small flashlight.

If I see something I like, it
A. Gets smaller B. Gets larger C. Needs to be chopped off
All of these answers may seem correct, but what’s the more correct answer?

On the first question, did it say this was at night?
On the second question, have to go with B, if only by process of elimination. It's not Flight Data Center or Special Activity Airspace information.

Oh, yeah. Sorry, forgot to mention that. It specified night time.

Look at 91.209 and then revisit question 1.

Well I definitely got that one wrong. I think it's an example of a poorly worded question. It only talked about engine startup. I suppose starting the engine falls within the scope of the word "operate", so the answer they were looking for was probably position lights. The way the question was worded though, a commonsense person might easily say that using a landing light to illuminate the area in front of the aircraft before starting an engine would do more to enhance safety than turning on position lights. Now, if the question asked about moving or taxiing, I could see it. But lighting up the area around the prop with the landing light makes more sense when all you're talking about is engine startup.
