TV for PC gaming: is OLED that much better than QLED/mini LED?

Currently using a 42” 1080p Hannspree and looking to upgrade to a 42-48” LG C4 or B4 OLED. I’m concerned about burn in risk and wanted to know if the oled is noticeably better than the QLED/mini LED’s and worth the potential risk. Thank for your opinions.

I just upgraded from an old LCD TV to an LG B4 and it’s a night and day difference. I use it with a PS5 though but the difference in upgrading the TV was more noticable than upgrading my six year PC last year while using the same VA panel. Almost makes me regret not spending the PC money on a PS5 Pro. My next monitor will definitely be an OLED.

I own Qled and OLED. I love both, but OLED does offer better color in most settings. I have the lg B4 and love it. I would highly recommend picking it up and it's on sale often. I bought a the 49 or 47 inch version for $600.

Yes, Oled is king, not just clarity contrast colors but in pixel response. If you dont like ghosting trailing or smearing. Get an oled. Mind you find a bright one, most oleds are not bright enough so using it a bright room is not ideal. I have an s95c 55 inch and is amazing, love it.

OLED is no brainer if you got the budget for it!!!

I have a OLED tv for my PS5 upgrading from a really old crappy cheap Samsung LED TV. I’m mainly on my PC but those days when I turn on the PS5, man OLED just blows me away. It’s definitely better. I know burn in does happen with OLED but modern OLED’s have precautions to avoid that (at least my TV) like pixel refreshing every month for example. I don’t use a OLED for my PC but coming from someone who’s used one, I definitely recommend it.

Yes, absolutely, for real, get an oled and enjoy current gen as it should. Forget about LCD tech

TV OLED panels are still a lot ahead of the monitors people generally think of for gaming so yeah they’re pretty amazing rn, super bright, and less prone to burn in.
Comparing it to a good mini led they both have their pros and cons but imo the OLED wins most of the time for gaming with response times and motion handling in general, especially since the best mini leds can get more expensive than some OLEDs too rn

I use 42" C3 OLED's for my PC. No issues with burn in and I spend many hours a day on Reddit, Youtube and gaming with static overlays. OLED is the king when it comes to image quality.

Yes OLED is much better. Source: Own one mini led screen and three OLED screens. After the first OLED I couldn't go back. It looks better and the response time makes it feel better.
