Let’s say you were ten yrs old and heard John say “the bears air on the side of running the ball.”

Your mind made a connection between the word John spoke and one of the many possible meanings of the word “air.”

I like word games (like wordle and connections), and I’m genuinely interested in what you thought it meant.

There’s a famous old quote “to err is human, to forgive, divine”. So forgive yourself for thinking things no one has thought before. Probably partially because you didn’t get indoctrinated in college. It was mostly a waste of time for most ppl.
