Does this seem right?

Took my 2014 ford focus titanium in to get the ac fixed. Was blowing hot air and a recharge wasn’t fixing it.
Come to find out I need a new compressor.
Then my back tire was making a weird metal scraping noise and they told me it was from the calipers.
I was charged $814 for replacement of A/c compressor
$749 to replace break calipers.
And they were trying to get me to do my hub and bearings for $693 but it isn’t a safety issue and I can do that on my own so i declined.
Does this seem right or am i being over charged?

$750 for full brake job (pads, rotors, calipers) on 2 corners is reasonable.
$814 for parts and labor on a compressor is also reasonable.

Thank u

How much was the labor and what did they charge for the parts?
The compressor replacement almost seems cheap but the caliper replacement sounds pretty high to me

They have to change both calipers on both sides so they aren’t uneven.

No, they don't. What they should have done is replaced the bad caliper/pads on one side and inspected the pads on the other side. If they were near end of life, you should've been asked if you wanted the pads replaced. A brake caliper isn't a wear item, pads/rotors are. Even then, the system is self adjusting. As long as the pads have life on them, it doesn't matter if the left side has half as much material as the right side. The vehicle will still brake evenly

Why would you do just one side pads when they come in sets? And as a shop im ALWAYS doing it in pairs because I no way i want to deal with any comebacks or re-dos....definitely can tell you never worked in a shop

They are fixing the one side but they are changing out the pads. Not sure how they are getting the 819 for break calipers.

Awesome, giving them a call now. Thank you

Conventional wisdom is to change both sides . You obviously don’t have to but best practice is to do both sides

1435 parts 810 labor

That includes the hub/wheel bearing? Do you know what their labor rate per hour is?
