AirlineApps Website - Moving Violation

I have *four* speeding tickets, all 10+ years ago now - two in 2013 and two in 2015. I have put them all on my application. Are these going to affect my chances of getting an interview? I'm sick over having to put them all down if this is what keeps me from moving forward. Big yikes to my younger self's driving habits.

It shouldn’t be an issue as long as they're disclosed.
Only one airline ever asked me about my driving record during a meet and greet (Frontier) and I said that I had a bunch of tickets when I was younger (way more than you) so my solution was to start driving a hybrid and that stopped but I didn’t have any license suspensions etc.
I got a Frontier interview invite about 6 months later while I was in sims at a legacy.

This is required on airline apps? I never used the site to get hired at my carrier, so I’m not familiar. How far back does it check? Considering anything past 10 years to me seems like madness.

I have 3 within the last 5 years… including one which was recent and 20mph over the speed limit. I disclosed all the information and it was never brought up.

They can see more than the current drivers record. If you got a citation report it. They pull a level 2 and i promise it’s there.

Great to hear, thank you.

I’m in a similar situation. I’ve actually paid for my records and can’t get them.
They come back “none found” and then proceeded to tell me that they only keep them on file for X number of years.
I honestly don’t remember the details of all the tickets I’ve ever gotten. But I was very foolish as a younger man.

What do you think your competition has?
changgerz@reddit
if they're all 10+ years ago and just speeding, they probably won't care much. definitely won't help, but as long as none of them are like reckless driving, it's not a huge deal
Reputation_Many@reddit
Pay for a search of what is on your record. Most people will not remember a ticket 5 years ago much less 10.
I have no idea how many tickets I’ve got in my life, a crapload but I’ve only got 1 in the last 6 years. It’s all that was on my record. Most states don’t keep public records for more than 5 years.
Good luck

Thanks!

Question - if you were pulled over for speeding, but paid a lawyer and it became a non moving violation, what do you put in there?
hawker1172@reddit
It depends on the exact phraseology of the application question.
ZOB_oo_land@reddit
Yep, put them on there. Lying is worse than admitting an inconvenient truth as far as an airline is concerned.
It may have an effect, it may not. Hard to say for sure.
DefundTheHOA_@reddit
Yes, it could
4 is a lot when there are people who don’t have any

I definitely put them on there unless it’s outside the specified timeline if provided. Considering they are 10+ years ago, it’s more of a truth test more than anything and shouldn’t hurt your chances.
