British berkefeld filters : If I use 2 filters at the same time, will they last 12 months instead of 6?

I saw that the longevity of a british berkefeld ceramic filter is of 6 months according to their website.
My question is :
If I use 2 filters at the same time, will I have to change them in 12 months instead of 6? And if I'm using 4 filters they would be supposed to last 24 months, is it the correct calculation?
Thank you very much in advance

Using two filters increases the rate of flow and decreases the time you have to wait to get a full "tank" of water. It doesn't increase the filter life.

My understanding is that twice the filters gives you twice the flow rate for the same amount of water. Some gravity fed filters can be quite slow.
Filter longevity is usually measured in volume (gallons of water filtered) not duration (months in use). When manufacturers say it will last six months they are assuming typical/standard use. Plus its easier to track time than gallons.

How long do British BerkefeldĀ® filters last? Each filter has a service life of 1500 litres, so each pair has a service life of 3000 litres.
As explained on this page, NSF certification requires filters to be tested on twice their capacity, which gives a significant margin in terms of service life.
Nevertheless, to ensure optimum performance, we recommend changing the filters after 6 months to a year, depending on how they are used.
