Anyone know what’s happening here?

So, my unit has just been returned after having bodywork repaired and drivers door replaced but this keeps happening when I try and close window, anyone seen anything like it before? Could it be crossed wires?

If it goes all the way up when you hold the button you are in luck. It just needs to be recalibrated.
Push and hold the button down and hold for thirty seconds after contact. Then pull up and hold for thirty seconds after contact. Repeat both directions. You should be back to normal after that.

Ok, so little confused due to the wording, can you repeat only using “shut” for pressing window up function, “open” for window down and starting from window closed position. Much appreciated.

Hold the button UP until it is fully shut. Hold UP for thirty seconds. Hold the button DOWN until it is all the way open. Hold DOWN for thirty seconds. Repeat up, repeat down.

If it jumps down no matter what there is an alignment issue or something getting in the way of the travel.

Hold the button UP until it closes. Hold UP for thirty seconds. Hold the button DOWN until it closes. Hold DOWN for thirty seconds. Repeat up, repeat down.

If the door was just replaced, it might just be the fresh rubber gasket being a bit tight. I've always had this issue randomly on the 2 FH's I've been driving, so likely not much to worry about. As someone else suggested, take a look at the gaskets, if they're adjusted badly, the rubber part might be rubbing against the window creating too much friction for the safety mechanism to intervene.

The motor has a sensor to detect when the love of your lust has her arm out the window, and it reverses so she can freely pull her arm back in. If anyone says your truck is too sensitive, this is what they meant.
Try raising the window manually in short bursts.

Or you could try pulling on the glass.as.you go up. Check the are where the glass slides up and down and see if there is a spot where the rubber or some use felt that has been pinched in a little and that could cause it.

Yeah, I can get window up eventually so it’s not a case of not being able to close it, but as soon as I open it again it does same thing, what I was mainly concerned about was whether I should be taking it back to garage or whether there was few possible easy fixes I could do myself.

Maybe, like I said it's a safty feature that if the motor senses too much resistance when going up it stops so some one cant get their fingers stuck in the window. So like I said look at the rubber gaskets on either side of window and the bottom gasket and make sure they aren't pinched at some point. If they look fine then I would maybe have a mechanic look at it, as it could be a sign of the motor getting worn out. The way to maybe get around it doing the auto down safty thing is to bump the button up until it closes, so go up in small steps and you usually can get around it.

Looks like a window going up then down

Admittedly I’m not the most mechanically minded person but I had managed to figure that out else gets an upvote.

'Looks like a window going up then down"... that was actually my first thought too 🤣... had to watch it a few times and turn on sound to figure out what I was supposed to see

My car used to do this, then one day it stopped.

This is not the window you are looking for

Regulator having issues
bob696988@reddit
The ones that replaced the door need to adjust it
flopjul@reddit
I have this but its only when i disconnect the electricity that it stops going up sometimes. So i guess its a safety system
Redsoxdragon@reddit
There's a safety sensor in the unit that's probably dirty. It thinks there's something it's pinching with the Window. My personal vehicle was doing it a while back. Easy fix if you can get behind the panel to the servo

the truck is possessed
chico-dust@reddit
Either the track is misaligned causing the window to prematurely stop because it thinks there's something in the windows path or the regulator/motor is bad.
Horror_Solution1945@reddit
It's sensing an obstruction and doing what it's supposed to do. Try pulling up while it's going up to get it past that spot, just be quick.

First guess is the regulator is binding, door isn’t straight.
