For instance everyday I will have on me;
Phone, Watch, Wallet, (ID, two credit cards, two debit cards, £60-£90 cash) Keys, Emergency tea bag, Headphones, Sunglasses,
FuzzyPalpitation-16@reddit
In my daily work bag (which is just a small doc martens messenger bag) keys, wallet with cards and ID, several sanitary pads for emergencies 🩸, AirPods, a few pens stolen from office mates and a bunch of post its lol. These carry over to my personal handbag as well

My heart - newly fixed by our wonderful NHS 🤗
throwaway_finan@reddit
There should be a sub to appreciate NHS wins like these; too many sources that deride NHS, not enough spotlight on the mountain of good it does.
FuzzyPalpitation-16@reddit
It’s the nature of Reddit in general - people are more likely to express their dissatisfaction for something (whatever it could be, a device etc) versus those happy with it would just be quiet most of the time
No_Conclusion_8684@reddit
Make it! As an NHS worker I have a couple wins I'd share

Tribyoon-@reddit (OP)
Weird question but how do you carry your meds, do you keep them in the blister packs? I am going to need to have regular meds soon and I hate blister packs.
fionakitty21@reddit
I will have a strip or 2 from their boxes (im not taking them out of their blister pack, as would then need something else to put them in, and the strips/single blister pack are easy to put into a small zipped bit of handbag, -gaviscon and loperamide), my anxiety meds are in a small box so just have that as is, diabetic stuff in their own zipped bags (purpose made ones, 1 has the testing kit stuff, the other is insulated for my insulin pens). Also have a strip of antihistamine in bag too!
alizrandom@reddit
where can I find the insultated zipped bags :)
rositree@reddit
What is it that you hate about blister packs? You can buy dossette boxes like this, and fill it yourself. Either with four daily options or if you only take them once a day you can get them with 7 compartments to last the whole week.
They can be bigger than just carrying one foil strip or, if you have a lot of meds, the compartments may not be big enough for everything.

Butterfly knife, Swiss Army knife, Combat knife, switchblade.
Worried-Penalty8744@reddit
That sub fascinates me. They all say they use their knives all the time for all sorts of stuff but never really elaborate other than really boring things like opening boxes. Feels like they all want to cosplay being Davy Crockett or something
Silent_Rhombus@reddit
Haven’t seen that sub, but I was working at a till when an old fella wanted to return something. We needed to check inside the box and couldn’t find the scissors, but he pulled out a knife that would have made Crocodile Dundee say ‘fair enough mate, that’s a knife’ like it was no big deal and didn’t seem to understand why we were surprised.
IridiumQuality@reddit

For me, working in engineering - there’s always the correct tool where I am so that I don’t really need a multi-tool. I’m either at home, work or out with the wife. Home I have the correct tools, work I definitely have the correct tools and I sure hope to god I don’t need a knife or pair of pliers or screwdriver when I’m going shopping with the wife. I put these types of people into the “would carry a bow and quiver of arrows to the grocery store to hunt a rack of lamb or beef”

“I use it to open packages”
I don’t know about you but all of my packages are opened at home where I have scissors and I don’t open that many packages each day that I’d need to always have one on me. Are these people just finding wild packages out in the street that they need to open?
ApexSpanker@reddit
It's complete bollocks, anyone whose worked in retail knows if you're opening lots of boxes you want a safety box cutter so you don't slice somthing off that you'd miss.
Willsagain2@reddit
Only a grade A wuss needs a combat knife or even a box cutter to open a box.
Time-Enthusiasm9479@reddit
I like knives, decided to treat myself to a nice folding pocket knife to carry about. Had it in my pocket for about four months, but despite actively looking for reasons to use it on a daily basis, I pretty much never found one. I think i used it to cut some string once. Now it lives in a drawer.
Worried-Penalty8744@reddit
Maybe they’re porch pirates. Knife to open the packages they steal and gun to wave around while they steal them
hammer_of_grabthar@reddit
I have a multi tool at the bottom of my bag, and I probably reach for it every week or two, but almost always for the scissors or screwdriver. I'm not sure I've ever used the knife

Phone, wallet, keys are the only staples. My wallet is a thin one with just a debit card and co-op card and driving licence. Very rarely, there might be a £10 note in there, if I'd had to get some cash for something specific. Often, I also have a couple of tissues if I'm a bit sniffly, vaseline for dry lips.
I've just been away to the seaside for a few days, and I got a new 15L rucksack, because I wanted to take a bottle of water, suncream and a little towel (to dry the feet post-paddling). Wallet (cards, no cash - it's one of those little card holder things) and phone if I'm on a short trip to the shop. Otherwise I'll take my small handbag with both of those things as well as spare contact lenses, tissues, lip balm, paracetamol, tampons. If going out for work I've got my big handbag which has everything you can imagine including all of the above, 90% of the medicine cabinet, a pocket mirror, phone charger, perfume, deodorant, hand wipes, pen, umbrella, two kitchen sinks etc.

“In the UK, Apple Pay transactions can go over the standard £100 contactless limit, but it depends on the retailer. While some retailers might enforce the £100 limit, others may allow for higher contactless payments using Apple Pay. There's no inherent limit within Apple Pay itself, but individual banks or card issuers may have their own transaction limits”

Every day as in when I go to work or every day as in when I go out in the evening or at the weekend?
As I’m taking a laptop to work I have a manbag/messenger bag with all sorts off crap in it, most of which I don’t need most days. But carrying it to and from the car is no big deal.
If I’m just leaving the house, probably just phone, wallet, keys. Maybe a small magsafe charger if I’m going out for a while. My wallet is a super slimline one with only four cards (including driving licence) and a couple of notes in it. I hardly ever actually need it but it’s also so little hassle to carry.
If I’m going out for a long time, especially if it involves trains, I’ll turf my work laptop out of my manbag and make sure there’s my kindle and headphones in there plus maybe some snacks, that way I’ll a a automatically have all the other random crap I probably won’t need. But I kind of hate carrying a bag at all so I try to avoid taking it.

Then a similair bag but slightly larger which has a hairbrush, sanitary pads, body spray, deodorant, gum shield, lip balm, cutlery etc.
Then I usually have a book and bottle of eataer woth me and anything else ive specifically put in that day that I expect I might need.
