I thought that Robin Hood: Men In Tights was the best Robin Hood movie from the 90's. There was the Kevin Costner one where none of the main cast sounded English, except for Morgan Freeman who was playing an African character. There was a made for TV movie that aired around a year earlier.
I haven't seen the Dracula one in a long time other than remembering Leslie Nielsen was in it. I know it was released a few years after the Francis Ford Coppola one.
It’s great! [Dracula’s drinking WINE and eating CHICKEN!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=in-8K7W87nM&t=66s&pp=2AFCkAIB0gcJCfwAo7VqN5tD)
Dracula is drinking WINE and eating CHICKEN!
Truth. Probably why I still think that the 1973 Disney Robin Hood is my favorite Disney film.
But we were fortunate to have Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as one of our go-to VHS tapes and that one everyone pretty much agrees on now.
I had Indiana Jones 1&3, Ghostbusters, Masters of the Universe, TMNT, and a handful of Disney movies on BetaMax.
It took my dad a long long long time to convince to get a VHS player...
That didn’t happen in my family. But I would watch the same shitty movies over and over just because I had them.

I worked at The Gap throughout college and in the break room they had a small TV/VCR combo for training videos or whatever. They had one tape there "PCU," which was already more than 10 years old at the time. I don't know why it got brought in or why no one (including myself) ever brought in anything else. I must have watched that movie in parts during lunches and breaks like four or five dozen times. I absolutely love it and no one I know gets it. 😂

PCU is awesome, and it’s exceptionally quotable.
“A casual shoe for yachting?”
“We’re not gonna protest!”
“It's tasteless, disgusting, and offensive. I love it.”
Could explain why my two favourites were the first Spider-man and Resident Evil movies because I had them on really good quality telesyncs that played on my dvd player - pretty much had them on repeat most weekends.
My parents had a betamax tape with two things on it they recorded off HBO. It was Bill Cosby as Himself and Vacation. I watched this tape nearly every day from age 4 until like 10. I have no idea why my parents let me watch this tape, they were conservative Catholics and very strict. I learned like every cuss word from Vacation alone
In my house it was the Aliens Trilogy once it came out, before that it was all Disney movies..
But I will forever remember the movie Dead Zone with Christopher Walken because I watched it every single time I spent the night at my friends house in middle school..
I saw that movie the year it came out in cinema because it looked really great in the trailers. It was great by the way. I really enjoyed it but then I came back to school and found out literally every kid in my class had seen it over the same weekend.
That's how I ended up with Madhouse as one of my favorite movies lol. We were lucky as kids - my mom's friend had a dual deck VCR and recorded copies of, like, *every* Disney movie made up until that point (around '90/'91) so we ate good.

This was the one me and my kid brother enjoyed
I recently found out my Bosnian best friend learned English from the movie White Chicks (one of my favorite not so guilty pleasures) because it was a movie they had on VHS. It made me love her so much more.
Inspector General with Danny Kaye (a public domain classic) and Harry and the Hendersons and Ernest Rides Again are films I probably overrate for this reason.
There could be something to this I have an unhealthy obsession with Mr Destiny ¹⁹⁹⁰ simply because we owned it from anyone else's viewpoint it would be a very mediocre movie
When my house got HBO (early/mid 80s), I watched Six Pack way more than I will ever understand. No one in my family watched stock car racing at all.
Similar phenomenon with those who got cable for the first time.
