Finalizing my pc parts list!
Posted by Working-Ear-4844@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 6 comments
Just want to know if this is a good pc build. Or if I should swap out any parts, my budget is around 2500 USD. I live about 40 minutes away from a micro center, so it would be sort of inconvenient to just go for one part. This pc will be used for mostly minecraft gaming, but generally gaming. Possibly future content creation? I am just a beginner on pc’s so dont completely roast me!

A bit cheaper overall with a 5070ti instead

Thank you! Do you have any opinions on any other parts?
ChanceMeet3283@reddit
yeah, I changed a couple of items too. if you click on the PCP link you can see them. there are better price to performance cooler, adds, cases and power supplies.
wiisportsmusic@reddit
Couple things.
The phantom spirit is more than capable to cool the 7800x3d and saves a lot of money.
32Gb of ram is WAY overkill for gaming. 32Gb is plenty.
Pick of this bundle from microcenter https://www.microcenter.com/product/5006986/amd-ryzen-7-7800x3d,-asus-b650-e-tuf-gaming,-gskill-flare-x5-series-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle
Faster SSD for less money
I would always buy the cheapest 9070 xt model, performance is identical between the different models.
Don't buy a case with a solid front panel, a mesh front will supply significantly better cooling. The case I picked has some of the best cooling on the market and comes with fans pre installed.
Cheaper power supply that is still reliable and A tier on the SPL tierlist.

You said 32gb is over kill and then said that 32gb was good in the same sentence. My budget is 2500 USD. I want to use the full extent of that. In the notes I said that I already had the case.
wiisportsmusic@reddit
32Gb was a typo sorry, I mean't 64Gb is overkill. and I'm sorry I didn't see the tiny note about the case.
If you want the literal best possible performance it would be a 9800x3d + 5080 build. but the 5080 is really poor value. You would just be spending money to spend it, but do whatever you want idc.
