Help! My pc is not turning on!

I’m a 17f and I have a normal dell pc, I had left my pc on for ten minutes while I went to take my dog out and watch him since he likes to run to parts of the backyard he shouldn’t and I came back in to find my pc off, and it won’t turn back on, what do I do? Do I wait for it to turn on? I need this pc for college and I’m scared it’s gone

Check power from the outlet first, will that outlet power a light for instance?
If that works, check the back of the pc for a power switch, not a button. Most Dells I see do not have one, but I work mainly on business models.
Check to make sure the power cable is in tight on both ends, and that the cable is not damaged.
Check all other cables for good connection and integrity.
Do those things for the screen(s) too.
If those things aren't helping, it's either the power supply in the pc, or the screen is broken.
I mention screens since it's common of a user to mistake a broken screen for a broken pc.

My monitor is fine, the cord is fine, I’m worried if a item inside the pc box itself is broken or something like that

Most likely the power supply, inside the pc, possibly the motherboard. The way we usually test is to connect a known good power supply temporarily.
There is a tiny chance it's the power button, I see that every 5 years from Dells, not very common.

Do you know where I can get a replacement power supply? All of my stuff is on here and I’m not ready to replace it

You can order them from Dell. Dell uses custom power supplies. It's possible to replace it yourself in a Dell. since we haven't tested the system, I can't say for certain if that's your issue.
Check your warranty status, if might be worth it to renew and have dell fix it. They are usually good with that. Talk to a Dell support rep

I’ll have to get a new power supply, my pc has been around since 2022 and lasted longer than my monitors ironic enough

If it's under warranty, it's covered. Check at www.Dell.com/support if it's not under warranty, it's generally affordable to renew it. If you talk to a tech and be honest, dell support is competent. It's it's more than 200$ us I wouldn't renew it.

Check your electical there. Likely a ground fault

Cool, everything above applies, those are pretty standard workhorses, not too old.

unplug it, hold down the power button for around 10 seconds, then plug it back in and see if it works

Thank you for the suggestion unfortunately it did not :(

That's unfortunate, it's going to be quite involved to figure out what's wrong with it then. especially since it happened suddenly, it's really hard to say. if I had to point you in some direction, I'd say try clearing cmos by removing the cmos battery, or try running the PC with only 1 stick of ram plugged in
