RTX 2080 Dying – Best GPU for $600?

My RTX 2080 OC is artifacting hard and crashing under load. I tried everything. It's out of warranty and unusable now.
I’m a student, kinda broke, and need my PC (for gaming) over summer break :) Used GPU deals in Switzerland are awful, so I’m looking to buy new, with a budget of \~500 CHF (\~560 USD).
Considering the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC will this be a good choice?
I am aware it wont be much of an upgrade, but I'm not sure If I want to spend much more...

What's the price of a 9060xt 16gb in your area? Could be a good budget option about less than 10% slower than a 5060 ti 16gb plus its a x16 pcie card, not a x8. Will still be a decent upgrade from a 2080.

the 9060xt seems to be more of a sidegrade to me? I like that its super cheap (like 300) but its round about the same performance to the RTX 2080

The 9060 XT 16GB is a 25% upgrade. Personally I'd try to get a used 6800XT or 7800XT. You should be able to find them for €350-450 and they're a 50-60% upgrade respectively.

Just make sure you get a card with 12-16 gigs a vram at least. Don't buy the 9060 xt 8gb.

It beats a 2080 TI in benchmarks I'm seeing, only by a little, but im sure it's noicably better than your 2080. HOWEVER. You gotta make a decision. Are you shooting for a "replacement" of your dying card? Then, a 9060xt will be a great choice. If you're shooting for an upgrade, then you should aim for about a 50% uplift at least and get ready to pay the big bucks. The 5060 ti certainly isn't "upgrade" worthy if you ask me.

RX9070 at msrp.

I'd wish, its roundabout 600 swiss francs atm. I think im not going above a 5070, if even

If you are looking at anything below 9070xt or 5070ti then I recommend going with used GPU if you dont mind, 3090 or 3080ti they go for 400-550 euros, I got evga ftw 3080ti last year for 400 euros, waiting for 5080 super to release and this one does great job at 1440p.

I checked, and with our pretty low population there is just not as much stuff online. There are some 4070s selling for 900 euros, which is delusional
SeKiyuri@reddit
Yea that is insane, that's how much 4070 ti super cost when it was in stock here. In general it looks like 40 series is 20 series all over again when there are none for okay price on used market. I don't think I ever saw 20 series card for okay price until they became obsolete while i got both 10 and 30 series for very cheap.

RTX 5070 can be found at MSRP
9070 would be best option if found at msrp
5060ti is way overpriced even at msrp

I would consider a 9060xt 16gb, performs pretty much identical to the 5060 ti 16gb and costs €100 less. https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Gigabyte-Radeon-9060
that being said, I would wait to see if any deals pop up for amazon prime day.
ChggnNggts@reddit (OP)
amazon is not a thing in switzerland :(
very very select shops ship to switz but almost nothing does because we aren't in the EU.
secretagentstv@reddit
5070? Would be hella faster.
Allstr53190@reddit
You haven’t seen the latest news have you? 9070xt is faster by 15%. Sorry fanboys but it’s true.
ChggnNggts@reddit (OP)
the AMD is also 100 euro more expensive
secretagentstv@reddit
I have heard the news. I also own a 9070 XT.
PieComfortable@reddit
AMD RX 7800 XT 16gb would be my choice.
Vez52@reddit
That's what I got since here in canada 9070s were 1000$+
Got the 7800xt for 450 usd
