Sounds like the Partridge Family lol. I associate it with a girl - we were sweethearts from 2nd grade until 6th, which I think is pretty unusual. She was the new girl in our little country elementary school. We got caught cheating on a test (I let her copy off me ha ha). Big time puppy love. Until she broke my heart, which still beats a little bit faster when I think of her. In HS she was pop, I was a hippie. We're still friendly after almost 50 years. Song memories can be so powerful. It's not the song I have a problem with, it's the band. If Starship formed in the 1980s I wouldn't give it a second thought. But they didn't form in the 1980s. They were JEFFERSON FREAKING AIRPLANE! I'm just upset that a band as cool Jefferson Airplane somehow did enough drugs to eventually become Starship. And I readily admit that is my problem.
