For all the YouTuber speeding handwringing, blurred speedos and trips to Mexico, I find it funny that C&D is like "yeah we're hitting 140 on public roads and hope the cops don't get us" as the intro.
Also it's crazy how performant cars have become. My daily driver has nearly doubled the horsepower of the Ferrari, 2+ seconds faster 0-60, weighs ~150 lbs more but seats 5 with a hatch for cargo, gets double the MPG and brakes 70-0 in 153 ft vs. 210.
My Wrangler, of all things, does 0-60 in a bit under 6 seconds and 0.72 on the skidpad. And it's more efficient than everything in the test, even when not plugged in. The Porsche might take it in the 1/4 mile though, oh well.
I love the charm, mechanical honesty, sounds and smells of old cars but when it comes to actually doing car things the world has moved on a bit.
