I am completely new to pc part picking, can you help me find a really good build for £800 ($1.1k) - UK

My requirements
-
I would love to play on 1440p atleast at 60+ FPS, or even 4K if possible within budget
-
For example games like COD/ GTA, I want stable 60+ FPS even on ultra graphics
-
No virtualisation / mining will be done in my pc
-
A pc that is future proof for at-least 5 years?

I would strongly encourage you to raise the budget a few hundred more. £800 just isn’t really enough if you want it to have a great experience, here is a general outline for the rest of the components: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/jjxXt3
As far as the gpu, I would encourage you to use whatever else you raise the budget to towards getting a good graphics card, you could start bare minimum around a 9060 xt and later work your way towards a 9070 xt or 5070 ti. If you can find a good deal (rare but also if you are ok with previous gen/secondhand) then you could check your local area or stores to see about maybe a 4070 ti super or a 7800 xt/7900 xt/xtx. Possibly the lowest to go for is a 6800xt or 3080 ti.
Either way hopefully you get some good deals and enjoy🤝🏻

Do you need a monitor and accessories included?

Hi! Thank you so much for this build, I decided that I can up my budget to £1k, what would change now? Thanks so much for your efforts!

Keep everything else the same but upgrade the gpu to a 9070: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/powercolor-radeon-rx-9070-reaper-16gb-gddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gra-pwc-04020.html?sv1=affiliate&sv_campaign_id=127079&awc=28821_1751827510_8a905769552a9a175aa3a5ef69e5107c&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=PCPartPicker%20_127079_Communities+%26+UGC

Amazing! Can I possibly play 4k on solid fps now?
ShinyJaker@reddit
Yeah you’ll be fine. You won’t be able to max absolutely every setting - but even a £2k 5090 can’t really do that. But you’ll be able to play pretty much everything at high 60+ FPS.
Plus you’ll have access to fsr4 upscaling if you really wanna use max settings. Personal preference as to what you prefer really!

found Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 9070 16 GB Video Card for about £560. Am i fine going with this?
ShinyJaker@reddit
Did you switch to the 9600x instead of 7600x? Go 7600x to save a bit.
You could also switch the ram for this:

you're helping me loads thank! Just a quick question, is the performance boost worth the money it switching to the XT version?
ShinyJaker@reddit
It’s about 10-20%, depending on the game. For about 10% more money, I’d say so
ShinyJaker@reddit
Yeah that’s a good deal imo.
If you can spare an extra £50 you could upgrade to the 9070xt for a bit more performance:

Well worth paying 30 more for the 9600x too, 50xx Nvidia graphics cards seem plagued with driver issues so best avoided for now.
ShinyJaker@reddit
I didn’t suggest an Nvidia card though?
xxspex@reddit
Just agreeing with the GPU choice, recent experience with a 5070 has been terrible
ShinyJaker@reddit
Ah, it’s also a lot cheaper to go amd for graphics cards at the mo. The 9060xt is pretty much unbeatable for price vs performance
Swimming_Tangelo8423@reddit (OP)
So to summarise, you’d change the current GPU to 9600x?
ShinyJaker@reddit
The 9600x is a CPU not a GPU. But yeah, it’s a about 5-10% upgrade over the 7600x
ShinyJaker@reddit
Just saw this deal on overlockers which is a decent lower cost option for gpu: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/intel-arc-b580-12gb-pci-express-gddr6-limited-edition-graphics-card-gra-int-03759.html?sv1=affiliate&sv_campaign_id=127079&awc=28821_1751812568_f7899fbe4146be309d83f44cce087323&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=PCPartPicker%20_127079_Communities+%26+UGC
Again, you’re looking more at 1440p medium/ high without upscaling, but will keep you under budget and leave room for a monitor if needed.
Swimming_Tangelo8423@reddit (OP)
Thank you!!! I already have a monitor the budget is for pc only
ThunderousHazard@reddit
What you are asking is near impossible, and 5 years is an huge timeframe to keep playing @ 1440p ultra graphics 60fps for 800 pounds.
Best I can think of is a good old 7500f + 9060XT 16GB: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/trBMYd
Get the CPU on Aliexpress (it's real cheap atm)
