Spin pole end fitting - made by Forespar - this one is an automatic latching fitting but its broken.. the pin is not supposed to extend past the casting.. and the latch in the yolk is supposed to be raised as the trigger.. I have one on our boat.. they are CRAZY expensive fittings to replace..
You can see a small shiny pinhead in the claw (lower right corner). That should go right through to the other side, creating an extension check on the piston. I think it's broken. You might be able to tick it out and replace it.

It was frozen. I had to heat, hammer and PB it apart. Getting it cleaned up for reassembly.

That's a pole beak with pin.
AnarZak@reddit
it's the beak of a spinnaker pole, but the pin is sticking way too far out.
if it's an end-to-end pole the extend pin could tear the spinnaker at the outward side & damage itself & the mast car on the inward side

We call it a beak

Brace beak where I’m from.

The way that one appears to be working, I’d call it a “kite ripper”.
To be serious though, it depends which part you’re referring to. Jaws, trip line, pole end could all be right
