What food places/items do you now refuse to buy that you used to regularly enjoy because of price or quality?

Yo! Sushi. I used to really like it. Sure, it's never been the epitome of fine Japanese dining but it was good *enough*. I went a couple of times in early 2020 just before COVID hit us, and everything was, as usual, great. I didn't go again until late 2022 because I'd moved to a new place and there wasn't one for hours in any direction. During a trip to Ireland, I was in Belfast and happens to walk past a branch and decided that I would grab lunch there. It was fucking *terrible*. The menu had shrank to maybe half of it's former glory, and all of the food was badly prepared, tasteless, and dry. I assumed that it must have either been a one-off, very unfortunate, experience or that this particular branch just wasn't very good. Whatever, I tossed it into the bin and found a burrito place a little way up the street, happy days. I next had the opportunity and desire to go to Yo! in the summer of 2023, this time in Edinburgh. I was meeting a friend and we decided to grab Yo! Sushi to take out. We go in, look at the menu (again it was half the size that it was pre-2020) and settle on what we want. We took it to Princes Street Gardens because the weather was beautiful. Again it was terrible. Dry, tasteless, poorly prepared. I ended up throwing 80% of mine in the bin again. I've since had it once more and it was the same experience, but what really brought it home was that the shitty prepackaged Yo! Sushi that you can get in Tesco as part of a meal deal is actually better than anything that a proper Yo! branch can offer, and the prepackaged stuff isn't made by Yo! at all. Fuck Yo! Sushi. It's a ripoff and terrible value. I'd expect better from Cosmo.
