Greetings!
I dont have too much knowledge about PC building so can i ask for some advice?I planning to play mostly games like Wuthering waves.I hesitating about these two setups:
1st:
-
TUF GAMING B460-PRO (WI-FI)
-
GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6
-
Intel Core i5-10600 / 6 Mag / 12 Szál
-
ARCTIC Freezer 33 TR
-
32GB DDR4 3200MHz Samsung (2x16GB)
-
500GB M.2 NVME SSD SK Hynix
-CoolerMaster 600W
- EVEREST FACED V1 RGB
2nd:
-Asus Prime 490-P M.2
- GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6
-Intel I7 10700K - 8 mag/16 szál
-CoolerMaster toronyhűtő
-32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz
-500GB M.2 NVME SSD SAMSUNG EVO
-ADATA XPG 600W
-ZALMAN K1 RGB
Thank you so much for everyone help/opinion!

for 1440p? I'd honestly just pick the i7 10700 + 3060 ti system.
are you getting these systems brand new though? why not get a system configured with atleast an i5 12600KF and B660 motherboard that uses DDR4 memory? the i7 10700 and i5 12600KF are priced similarly and sometimes the i5 12600KF is cheaper. You'll also get way better performance for that. especially in the new Septimont area in Wuthering Waves since it absolutely requires a CPU with really good IPC/single core performance.
if those two are your only options then just get the i7 10700 system. the 3060 ti and 3070 aren't really that far off in terms of performance, and WuWa has decent DLSS implementation so you could use that to play on 2k/1440p

Here’s one more config that maybe reachable if I bargain a little bit successfully!😅Maybe this one is better with 4060 and a newer CPU?
-TUF GAMING B560M-PLUS
-GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6
Intel Core i5-11600K / 6 Mag / 12 Szál
BE QUIET! Pure Rock 2
32GB DDR4 3200MHz FURY (4x8GB)
1TB Kingston M.2 SSD
600W CoolerMaster ELITE V3
Cooler Master MasterBox MB511 ARGB
In this case the VGA is new tho.EverThing else is used.

honestly, both the 3060 ti and 3070 will need the help of DLSS to play above 60fps at maximum settings 1440p on Septimont's worst performing areas. the 4060 is around 8% weaker than the 3060 ti but it consumes almost 100watts less. but it should still be able to play the game at 2k/1440p above 60fps(with the FPS unlocked you should even get 80-90 fps on the worst areas) max settings without RT with DLSS on Quality.
I wonder if you guys could get a hold of an i7 10700K/KF or maybe an i7 11700K/KF and squeeze it in your budget? the non-K 10600, 10700 and 11600K isn't listed on WuWa's 120FPS support. although you can just do what I did and unlocked the FPS on unsupported hardware by the game.
if you can still change around things can you maybe get the RTX 3070 on this i5 11600K system? here from where I am a used 3070 is typically cheaper than a brand new 4060. if you can't then I'd personally just go with this since the game really likes better single core performance, and the 4060 is just a bit weaker than the 3060 ti.
you can also just message me if you find more system combos, I'll try and help you find the best that suits what you need.

Thank you so much for your help I very appreciate it!These three setup what my buddy have right now for good price i can’t afford right now a more expensive config sadly so just trying to maximize the value that i got for my bucks.Sadly I can’t change the CPU I thinking about too but he not want to change the stuff up.So in the end still the I7 3060TI is the winner from these three in your opinion?I heard about the 4060 performance is weaker than the 3060TI I don’t even understand this tbh…😅

this us honestly an odd predicament, I wish you could jumble the parts and get the best out of your money. but yeah the best middle ground is the i7 10700 + 3060 Ti.
maybe in the future you can save up a bit then sell the i7 10700 the motherboard and the RAM and then upgrade to a newer DDR5 platform.
also with the 3060 Ti and the 4060. I understand why you're confused since back then the newer xx60 class can go toe to toe with the older xx70 class. but not anymore🤣 the 3060 Ti is usually faster especially in higher resolutions because of the higher memory bus width of the 3060 ti.
the 4060 only has a 128bit memory bus with a 227GB/s bandwidth with the GDDR6 memory clocked at 2125mhz.
while the 3060 Ti has 256bit memory bus with a 448GB/s bandwidth with the GDDR6 clocked at 1750mhz.
although the 4060 barely consumes 115watts while the 3060 Ti can get up to 200watts. the 4060 also has higher clock speeds because of how efficient the 4000 series architecture is made.
now imagine if the 4060 had a 192bit bus, if that happened it should be able to stand with the 3070 instead.

That’s way too much tech for me i don’t follow the PC gaming industry evolving like 10 years so we can say in a total noob in the topic…!😅Maybe i practice some ultimate bargaining and use all my charisma to convince the buddy to put that 3070 into the I5 11600K system! If that’s not works then i go with the 10700+3060Ti then!Anyway you still help a lot to decide the question so thank you very much for your detailed clarification and advanced advices and your energy and time too!🤝

haha, good luck. hope you can convince your boy with the 3070👍

In the end i successfully convince him to put the 3070 to the I5 11600K setup! This is the exact card: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 8G OC GDDR6 256bit LHR 2.0
No_Entrepreneur_495@reddit
damn😂 now that's how you negotiate!
I think that Gigabyte model is the Gaming OC 2.0 model so that's a decent card! you also get more storage on that 11600K system.

It was a waste of time tho…😂Like 15 minutes after i finished the successful mind control attempt on him i just find another config only 30$ more bucks! But with 3080 asus Tuf 10gb+i5 12400f!Or i can choose a Ryzen 5 5600…What do you think about these two CPU with the 3080?
No_Entrepreneur_495@reddit
😭 I'd 100% go with that 3080 system it'll be 100% better than the others. make sure to check the PSU on that since the 3080 consumes 300+ watts.
you're in an another predicament regarding the CPU choice🤣 while the 5600 and the 12400F perform similarly, personally I'd go for the i5 12400F then sell that in the future and replace it with an i5 13600KF or maybe to an i7 14700K if you want to max it out. but the Ryzen 5 5600 system can be upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D though.
do you have the whole spec sheet for both systems though? I'd like to see what the rest of the specs for both are especially with the motherboard and PSU.

Thank you for the clarification and the advice!Yeah these are my best two options right now that i can get.Im upgrading from a 1660 super config with an I5 10400.One of my buddy’s build PC’s sometimes and he buy the 1660 super setup on a very nice price so i can say the upgrade is budget friendly.
