When a Friday breeze comes along, you must rip it

I don't want to be "that guy", but having just spent some time on this on my own boat I can't help noticing that your lazy jacks look too tight and they are affecting your sail shape. Ideally you (and I) would have retractible lazy jacks, but that would require re-rigging some stuff. The batten-like thing in the stack pack can be used to your advantage too; tie a couple of hunks of rope with a reef knot around the stack pack and around the boom when the sail is up to keep it nice and tidy. Also, why is the clew of your sail twisted?
(other than that, you are out there on the water and I'm here typing on my computer, so good on you!)

It’s okay that guy,
I’ve been struggling with my aft lowers until now - this was a retune sail, and I’m quite happy with the rig finally - had to fully detune and get tension on the afts before retighten the caps and forwards.
So yeah, did forget to back the jacks. That said - I need a better solution than “loosen after each hoist” any thoughts?

Just keep them looser all the time. Lazy jacks don’t need to be tight

They need to be tight enough to keep the stack pack up.
That being said, it’s being rebuilt. It was built with my old slides and not my tides track and stainless slides

They don’t need to be very tight to do that. They definitely don’t need to be so tight that they are affecting the sail.

"RIP it good"

Wait. You've gotten ahead of yourself.
First you rip into shape. Then you shape it up, and get straight. Once you move forward and get ahead. You will try to detect it becasue it's not too late. Only THEN can you rip it and rip it real good.
