ULPT Request- credit cards and loans for terminal cancer patient
Posted by Itchy-Coyote-1125@reddit | UnethicalLifeProTips | View on Reddit | 76 comments
I am a younger person with terminal cancer. I am living in Canada. I might have one to two years left. At the moment, I feel pretty good. I’ve applied for a few credit cards and have got accepted. I have a decent credit score 750. I’m single. Not married and no kids. I have no house or major assets. I don’t really have any debt at the moment. My question is, how can I unethically maximize loans or credit cards or any other things? Where should I try to get loans from ? Should I just lie on an applications? I want to die with a huge amount of debt. I already took out a line of credit. I don’t want to go to payday loan stores until the end is very near. Any suggestions would be great

I can’t help you with that but I can help you heal the cancer: first thing you should do is research water fasting and steak only diet.

All I'll say is try doing a speedrun of Japan on the bullet trains, and see if you can't visit the Australain zoo run by the Irwin family (perhaps they'll give you a special experience if they know your situation like meeting some animals up close and personal ) .

Okay I get how that can be read You're making me laugh now. "Maybe the bear can eat you and put you out of your misery"

I'm right there with you. If I knew I had a limited amount of time, I would explore every country I could.
Leading-Tomorrow-925@reddit
You do have a limited amount of time.
Electronic_Sundae426@reddit
Lying about a higher income that doesn’t match with your credit portfolio makes you less likely to get approved/an increase.
FairyPenguinStKilda@reddit
A friend of mine did that - treatments changed and their broke arse is still here 30 years later. They declared bankruptcy after 4 years of trying to pay it off. But, wow, did we have the best party time ever!!
kirinlikethebeer@reddit
Not ULPT but doesn’t debt pass to family upon death? Or have I been in dystopian USA too long to know anything about debt relief?
FairyPenguinStKilda@reddit
Depends on the country, or cuntry in your case.
putativeskills@reddit
A part of the debt will be taken from the estate (life insurance, money from selling a house, things like that), but the debts themselves do not transfer to family members unless the family members consigned on a loan.
bellaelijah@reddit
My mom’s life insurance payout was not subject to probate.
clay3r@reddit
First off, sorry to hear about you situation. Secondly, I'd do as much traveling as possible. If there's not much time, may as well experience more than most and abuse the system. I'd go on dangerous adventures personally. Up to you. If you do end up doing something, I hope you'll post about it.
showmethemundy@reddit
Take em for everything..
gunsforevery1@reddit
Get a credit card. Buy gold. Sell the gold for cash. Buy a car/s with the cash from the gold.
Car can’t get repoed after your death. Give it to whoever. Give gold to people.
Negative-Ad-6805@reddit
Cash can't get repoed either, just keep the cash somewhere safe and distribute as he sees fit. Not sure why he'd bring in the layer of complexity of buying a vehicle, which is a bu depreciating asset
gunsforevery1@reddit
Someone may need a car, it would probably last longer than the money honestly.
Itchy-Coyote-1125@reddit (OP)
That’s a good idea. How do you think I should go about it ?
IAmAThug101@reddit
Ivermectin, fenbendazole and dmso treat cancer. It’s all over twitter for years now: https://x.com/makismd/status/1827399748132970671?s=46

ah yes, Dr. Twitter. Dr. Tiktok’s older cousin.

I prefer doctors who say “you should experiment on your internal organs with this experimental gene therapy product.”
MrUsername24@reddit
Because you can buy a car with cash and it wont open tou up to any ownership issues
broncobinx@reddit
Gold places I’ve been too do not accept credit cards.
gunsforevery1@reddit
Online.
Itchy-Coyote-1125@reddit (OP)
Why can’t the car get repoed if there is still a loan on it ?
gunsforevery1@reddit
Don’t get a loan on it.
Get credit cards. Buy gold with the credit cards. Sell the gold for cash. Use the cash to buy a car.
WyoGirl79@reddit
What do you mean a car can’t be repoed after death? I’ve never heard that before and am very curious.
Additional_Ad_6773@reddit
Cars can, cash can't. Buy the car with cash; the bank never owned it.
gunsforevery1@reddit
Use a credit card to buy gold.
Sell the gold for physical cash.
Use the cash to buy a car outright. When you die, the credit card company isn’t going to repo the car.

Two years from now:
ULPT Ran up lots of debt due to a misdiagnosis of terminal cancer, how to get out of it

I’d be fine with that.
RogueThneed@reddit
You don't have a house. What is that line of credit based on?
How did you build a credit score that high with no major purchases?
I'm calling "creative writing" on this one.
jarjarhaze@reddit
Damn that sucks. I mean, that You're stupid. Sucks that you're stupid
IAmAThug101@reddit
Ivermectin, fenbendazole and dmso cure cancer. Look it up on twitter.

Where do I begin. Med schools are designed to churn out folks who are salesmen for pharma companies. These cheap drugs stand in the way of giant profits from cancer treatments and other costly meds.

You’re stuck in propaganda.
jayba21@reddit
I’m stuck in propaganda? My medical training based on real research, empirical evidence, and proven real-world application/outcome is a lot of propaganda. On the other hand, your Facebook group studies and surveys are far more reliable.

Can you link the studies you mentioned that prove that it works? I would be interested to see actual proof, not just news articles and statements from doctors.

You have to emotionally accept you’ve been brainwashed. Not easy to realize propaganda worked on you hard. Take some time.

Your post or comment was removed for violating rule 7: Phrases such as "...they'll probably let you go", "...9 out of 10 places don't bother", "...most of the time it works." and so on.
They do not add to the tip, and there is no data backing up this claim.
Negative-Ad-6805@reddit
lol what a fucking idiot
oghippiechick@reddit
My mom did this. She knew she was dying. She spent $85K in credit cards on an around the world trip. With no intention to pay for the trip. Then she came home to die. She loved her trip, and we loved that she was happy. Fuck the credit card companies.
Novel-Insurance-3284@reddit
Buy many many $500 Visa or Mastercard gift cards at the grocery store, using the credit card. Use them for all expenses/payments. Don't pay off the CC unless you live.
SaveTheDayz@reddit
This is a deep question. How do we leave the world after we leave it. Does it matter. Should 80 year olds be given loans.
Quarter_Shot@reddit
Where does it say OP is 80 & why is his age relevant?
SaveTheDayz@reddit
Just another deep question. I was being somewhat sincere.
Karma-IsA-FunnyThing@reddit
If you really want to maximize, go slow in the beginning. Get a couple credit cards. Buy something/s on each card. The more the better then pay it off. Give it about 6 months and apply for another card. Buy something on it and pay it off.
If you can long play this for a year. You’ll be able to get some huge credit limits on and then just use the hell out of the cards. Every 6 months try to add 1-2 more cards and request credit limit increases.
Also misstate your income. Accidentally adding a 1 in front of of your income can be a good thing.
donnaloha@reddit
Wow! I'm really surprised at these comments. I'm ethical. Yes downright stealing yes
lefteyedcrow@reddit
Banks are in the business of screwing over the little guy. On the scales they work in, OP's plan is petty revenge at best, and I'm here for it
Dasrule@reddit
As you literally cannot take it with you and you know your clock is running out, decide where you want to spend this money. Most likely yourself and your family. When you die and open credit halts immediately and any family or friends that try to use it are committing a serious crime, keep that in mind.
If you family wants some nice things then apply for some zero interest, minimum payment for 24-36mo cards and use those. But don’t make those purchases until you’re really near the end, minimize the number of payments you need to make.
As for cash on hand, come to America. Lenders are idiots. You should be able to hit up all the big name lenders for big loans for stupid reasons. He’ll, apply for student loans that cover housing and living expenses and stuff.
The question is, are you trying to max everything out and die broke or hoard cash and hide it for family?
lefteyedcrow@reddit
This would be my approach.
Good luck on your journey, OP <3

If I was you, I would take out loans to travel. Get as many loans as possible and go wherever you want.
MissionDocument6029@reddit
Anywhere you can get money. Get a car even if you feel like it. If you have friends buy furniture for those dont pay for 24 months If you make min payments your good too as youll probably get more Lie on. Income Just make sure you have nothing when the time comes Klarna comes to mind.

I don’t know if Canada has them, but if in America, online lenders are an easy target - CashNet USA, NetCredit, upstart, CreditNinja, Avant, etc
