It's bombproof, proven track record, and has that goldilocks throw for a wml. Still made in USA(?), too.

My school of thought is that if you need it as part of your job (security, LEO, etc), it's a small price to pay. Your life is worth way more than the extra cnote over a streamlight.

For everyone else? The TLR series should be more than adequate for the slim chance you'll ever need it. I've got a TLR1 that's 15 years old. It's seen 10k rounds on everything from pistol to 12 gauge, and it's still ticking like a Rolex.

I bought an X300 last year and broke the battery door off within 40 seconds of having it out of the packaging, surefire replaced it and it showed up with the plastic hinges already broken

Also have a barely used M640DF that wont stay on with any pressure switches, just fizzles out. Bought second hand so I havent tried to file warranty on it yet

Had a TLR for years and thousands of rounds before selling it and that thing never had an issue

Thats the idea but the B is fine on polymer, just dont over tighten the thumbscrew because it can crack the dust cover. Overall a lot of people seem to prefer the B over the A on polymer frames like glocks because the thumbscrew is much better at getting a snug fit compared to the latch on the A

Both will work just fine. The only caveat is that you don’t want to over tighten the B model. If you over tighten the B models on a polymer frame, they’ll generally create stoppages. I personally use B models on polymer frames.
