I deleted my post in fear of my landlord coming at me, but I’m leaving due to the problem worsening. Worth street between Beacon and Fulton. Last night my dog killed one in my room. I killed two in the kitchen.

They come in through the pipe walls. Eventually through/under your sinks and dishwasher. Seal up any holes and spray peppermint oil everywhere

Get a cat?

I will hook you up with a dog-friendly rat-killing machine, my friend. Some of my neighborhood TNR babies decided to skip the R part of the formula.

I had a hunch I had a rat in my apartment. I bought a dollar store trap and wham, found a rat in it a couple days later. This is uptown.

Put out traps...nature is all around us so not much you can do ptjer than protect your home. Not familiar with that hood but likely not the landlords prob...all the new homes out my way drive snakes and rats so all we can do is deal with it. Gross either way!

It’s one of the oldest neighborhood located in Old East Dallas. This house was built in 1908.

Tomcat Rat Snap Traps!!! No poison, no release a mile away... these traps snap to kill, and do.

And walk your home inside and out looking for any kind of crack or hole and fill it with steel wool. Even if you think it looks too small. We had rats get in our garage through an old cutout for a dryer vent our landlord never covered. Once we blocked it, they didn’t come back in.

We have mesh on everything. Fill every hole. We have sealed everything we can. My guess is they are coming in through the ancient plumbing. Everyone has them. It’s part of living here. I’m moving!

I have tried everything! We have used pest control, every trap, bait, poison. They have been living here a lot longer than me and aren’t leaving. They piss me off and the best solution is to just hunt them. A garden stake and my cowboy boots work best.
